Kiefer Sutherland could have gotten a role on Magic Mike, from the looks of it. The 49-year-old actor seems to have a few more skills than his character, Jack Bauer, had on 24, and one of them is giving lap dances. TMZ reports that Sutherland recently got up on stage, ripped off his shirt, and gave patrons quite a show at a popular Hollywood strip club.
There’s a picture to prove it and according to TMZ, it was taken after Sutherland took a bow after his performance.

Sutherland is probably enjoying some time off since he won’t be in the revival of the series that made him famous.

Us Weekly reports that Fox is working on an update of 24, but Kiefer Sutherland won’t be in it. The series reboot will be called 24: Legacy. It will revolve around a soldier returning to the United States, and will retain the countdown format that made the original show very popular. The first series of 24 premiered in 2001, and was on the air for 8 seasons. It returned for a 12-episode stint in 2014 called 24: Live Another Day. Kiefer Sutherland was in Live Another Day, but it looks like that will be the last time we ever see him as Jack Bauer.
“The pilot will feature an all new cast of characters and retain the real-time, pulse-pounding, fast-paced format with split screens and complex interweaving story lines, with each episode representing one hour of an eventful day,” Fox revealed in a press release.
As Us Weekly reports, the announcement about the 24 reboot was unveiled at the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour in Pasadena, California. Network executives told the press that the new 24 ‘s lead will be called Eric Carter. But other than Sutherland’s absence, one of the other things that separates this new series from the original will be that he will be joined by a female co-star, a character who was once the head of the Counter Terrorist Unit.
“It doesn’t feel like it is fully replicating the original in terms of how much Jack Bauer carries by himself,” says Fox head. “But it’s a very prominently featured lead.”
Walden added that they don’t plan to bring back any of the characters from the original series that fans fell in love with. But they’re not completely ruling it out.
“There’s a time jump,” Walden said. “This is a new organization. It’s a new CTU, a new cast of characters. It’s a completely different story in terms of the special ops group that we’re focusing on. It’s a very contemporary-feeling story about the potential to activate sleeper cells in the United States, and radicalizing Americans. It’s a whole new story.”
Dana Walden and her fellow Fox executive, Gary Newman, also revealed that the lead actor on 24: Legacy will be either African American or Latino. According to Us Weekly , the pilot will be film in the winter but there’s no word yet on when 24: Legacy will premiere.
But Keifer Sutherland fans, don’t fear. You’ll be able to see him on your TV screens on a regular basis soon. Sutherland is going to play the U.S. president on ABC’s new thriller series, Designated Survivor.
He’s also going to be in a film called Forsaken, alongside his father, Donald Sutherland . The movie is a western, and Kiefer told Entertainment Tonight that working with his father has been one of his career’s most rewarding experiences.
“The most profound gift that I got from this experience was I realized that we spent nine weeks together, at least 14 hours a day, focused on building something together,” Kiefer said. “That ended up being the most special gift.”
