Kevin Hart recently spoke out about Paula Deen and her deposition on May 17. He obviously wasn’t too happy with her comments, which he explained during the recent interview.

“The hammer that was dropped down on Paula Deen was like the hammer of all hammers,” he told an omg! Yahoo! insider.

He went on to explain that he took offense to her racist remarks.

“I’m a black man. I was one of the people that was offended when I heard it. It’s too much,” he added. “I think that she should be punished but you’re killing her right now.”

The 32-year-old actor and comedian is currently promoting his newest film, Let Me Explain , but he wasn’t shy about Deen’s current controversy. The cooking TV personality has been losing her business partners by the day and her career is now in jeopardy after her comments were released.

The Food Network was the first to let her go, but they were quickly followed by big name companies like Home Depot and Wal-Mart . Kevin Hart didn’t mention Paula Deen’s loss of partnerships, but he did make it known that her punishments are pretty harsh.

HipHollywood also spoke with Hart about the situation and he explained that she was given some severe consequences.

“I feel sorry for her,” he said. “I definitely think there should be consequences for her actions, but I think the consequences that were given to her were very severe. I think its too much.”

No matter how Hart feels, his comments won’t give Deen her partners back as they have all prepared to stop selling her cooking line in their stores. She also lost multiple cookbooks that were in the works through her publisher RandomHouse .

As of now, she still has the No. 1 selling book on Amazon, but that will soon blow over once her rise in the press settles down.

Do you agree with Kevin Hart’s comments about Paula Deen?
