Kendall Jenner, also known among reality television fans as the little sister of Kim Kardashian, is ready to make the transition to scripted dramas. As if that’s somehow different from the exploits of her family on the notoriously famous Keeping Up with the Kardashians . But, I digress.
In order to prove to the world that there’s life beyond reality television, Kendall has signed on for an upcoming episode of Hawaii Five-0 . According to the folks at MSN’s Wondewall, the gig will also serve as the 16-year-old’s acting debut. However, as of this writing, it’s unclear how big of a part she’ll receive on the cop drama. The episode’s air date has yet to be penciled in, as well.
“I am so excited to reveal to you all that I am going to be making my acting debut on Hawaii Five-O! My episode will air in October this year and I can’t wait to get started on filming,” Jenner wrote on her blog. “This is such an incredible opportunity for me and I’m excited for this new experience!”
Naturally, Kendall Jenner isn’t the only member of the Kardashian clan to venture into the wonderful world of scripted television. In January, Kayne West’s main squeeze landed a recurring role on the Lifetime Network’s Drop Dead Diva , which finds Kim portraying relationship expert Nikki LePree. It’s okay to have a chuckle at the irony of that particular role.
Kim Kardashian recently made headlines for donning an orange prison jumpsuit for an upcoming episode of the program, which finds April Bowlby’s character taking a trip to the slammer for accumulating too many parking tickets. Next year, Kim is slated to appear in writer/director Tyler Perry’s drama The Marriage Counselor .
According to Wikipedia , the third season of CBS’s Hawaii Five-0 reboot is slated to air on September 24. Look for Kendall Jenner to pop up at some point in the near future.
