Kelsey Poe In Therapy After ‘Bachelor’: ‘Black Widow’ Stirs Up Post-Show Drama, Threatens To Sue Producers

The drama Kelsey Poe created on the Bachelor this season is far from over. Weeks after appearing on the Women Tell All special to face the girls who named her the “Black Widow,” Kelsey claims that the reality show caused her “emotional damage.” Poe reportedly wants the show’s producers to pay her therapy bill or she will to sue them.

Is it possible that Kelsey is just seeking out attention to extend her 15 minutes of fame, or is she really struggling after her appearance on the Bachelor ? After taping the Women Tell All special late last month, Poe told USA Today that she hoped her experience would “open doors” for her, and while it wasn’t the “best thing” in her life, her time on the show “wasn’t horrible.”

A month later, Radar Online ‘s insider states that the former high school guidance counselor feels producers “twisted the plot” and played off the “tragic death” of her husband, Sanderson Poe , in order to get high ratings. Poe is reportedly still reeling over the way she was portrayed on the Bachelor and started seeing a therapist when filming wrapped up.

“Kelsey has had to see a therapist because of the emotional damage that this show has caused her. She has requested that they pay for the therapy and they have not responded to her. For them to exploit it for show ratings is cruel and twisted. If this situation is not rectified…she is considering taking legal action.”

Poe went from telling USA Today that she took the whole situation “with a grain of salt” a month ago, but now claims she has emotional damage from the show. It’s hard to tell if Kelsey is truly upset about her storyline on the Bachelor, or if she is sour grapes because she may be passed over for a spot on the summer spinoff, Bachelor in Paradise .

ABC won’t reveal the full BIP cast until after the upcoming season of the Bachelorette ends, so time will tell if producers will ask Kelsey to come on the show or if they will move on from her over-the-top drama. Do fans really want to see another fake panic attack and hear more of Poe’s “amazing” stories? The jury is still out on that one.

Perhaps Kelsey Poe wasn’t aware that reality shows thrive on doing unflattering things to boost ratings. Poe started filming the Bachelor less than 18 months after the death of her husband — should she be upset about her portrayal on the show, or is it all an attention-grabbing act?
