Katy Perry is all set to kick off her Prism tour next year.

Instead of announcing the dates through a major publication, the singer decided to reveal the upcoming shows through an early morning post on Twitter. The so-called Prismatic World Tour is presently set to kick off in Belfast on May 7. The Swedish duo Icona Pop will support Perry during the British leg of her tour.

According to the Los Angeles Times , Katy Perry will perform a handful of shows at London’s O2 Arena between May 27 and May 30. The singer will also make a stop in Scotland during her adventure through the wilds of England.

If you’re more than a little bummed that Perry isn’t headed to your neck of the woods anytime soon, then you should sit back and take a very big breath. Although she may not have any dates scheduled for your hometown right now, that doesn’t mean she isn’t plotting to visit that area in the near future.

“Don’t worry — more global tour dates coming soon! I can’t wait to get closer to all of you than ever before,” the singer posted on Twitter .

Before Katy Perry begins her tour in support of Prism , Metro reports that fans can catch the “Unconditionally” singer at the Jingle Bell Ball in London on December 7. Folks who are serious about attending the upcoming holiday-oriented event should consider making arrangements as soon as humanly possible.

While she’s preparing to tour the world in support of her recent album, Katy Perry is busy putting together music videos for some of her singles. Shortly after dropping a clip for her hit tune “Roar,” the singer unveiled a video for her latest release “Unconditionally.”

The Inquisitr previously reported that the music video was inspired Katy Perry’s interest in such stories as Dangerous Liasons and Anna Karenina . Director Brent Bonacorso recently told MTV News that he wanted to capture the song’s energy in the clip.

“When she sings this song she doesn’t sing it lightly. This love that she speaks of is like a force of nature, epic storm and a tempest, and that’s definitely something I wanted to capture,” Bonacorso explained to the website.

The director said, “She was really identifying with these concepts, and I think perhaps from her own experiences, she felt that those worked for her world and her experiences.”
