Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have been one of the most sought-after “It” couples for a while now, so of course every move they make is dissected by the public. When Perry stepped out wearing a ring on THAT finger recently, rumors began flying that Bloom had proposed, and while the couple’s reps say the rumors are false, Perry did admit on Twitter that Bloom had more important things on his mind.
After Katy delivered a powerful speech at the Democratic National Convention that included the line, “It’s not where you come from but what you grow into,” it was shared on social media by Hello Giggles co-founder Sophia Rivka Rossi. Later, Katy took to Twitter to straighten the facts and throw her fans a bone in the relationship department.
“Lando put that one in,” Katy wrote, followed by a heart emoji.

Katy Perry wasn’t the only celeb at the DNC; Sarah Silverman, Lena Dunham, and Meryl Streep all showed up to support the Dems. Elizabeth Banks also came out, and wasn’t afraid to get down and dirty when it came to lobbing insults at the RNC.
“Some of you know me from ‘The Hunger Games,’ in which I play Effie Trinket, a cruel, out-of-touch reality TV star who wears insane wigs while delivering long-winded speeches to a violent dystopia. So when I tuned into Cleveland last week I was like, ‘Uh, hey, that’s my act!’” Banks said .
As for Katy Perry, the pop star is moving on after a slew of recent rumors online linked her to Taylor Swift, who is having a difficult time with the media right now. Swift and Perry have been in a rumored feud for quite a while now, and with Swift being called out as a liar by Kanye West and Kim Kardashian regarding her prior knowledge of West’s song “Famous,” eyes are trained on Perry to see what her next move will be. But she’s staying silent, preferring instead to use her music to speak for her.
“Katy released ‘Rise’. It says, ‘My feet have been put to the fire but I will rise.’ That’s what she’s about right now,” Katy’s mother, Mary, told Grazia Magazine .
Katy also found herself mixed up in some drama between Taylor and her ex, Calvin Harris, when Harris went on a Twitter rant following their breakup and Taylor’s subsequent — and very public — romance with actor Tom Hiddleston.
“Hurtful to me at this point that her and her team would go so far out of their way to try and make ME look bad at this stage though. I figure if you’re happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do. I know you’re off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I’m not that guy, sorry. I won’t allow it,” Calvin Harris wrote on social media.
The trouble began back in 2013, when Perry allegedly tried to “steal” several backup dancers who were already working on Swift’s tour. Swift alluded to the feud afterward without naming names, saying the two of them were enemies.
“She did something so horrible. I was like, ‘Oh, we’re just straight-up enemies’. And it wasn’t even about a guy! It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me… So now I have to avoid her. It’s awkward, and I don’t like it,” Swift told Rolling Stone .
