Justin Bieber’s new single, “What Do You Mean?”, lands on August 28. And, according to one Justin Bieber fan, the singer’s new music is “very powerful” and “very soulful.”

On Wednesday, the 21-year-old superstar lit up the Internet after announcing at On Air With Ryan Seacrest that his new single will drop in 30 days time.

Just a few days before, fan Stalker Sarah and other fans got the chance to hear some of Justin’s new music when he invited them into the Los Angeles recording studio he was working in.

Stalker Sarah is well known for her celebrity selfies, and has a massive online following.

Speaking to PopCandies TV in the video linked above, Sarah explained, “Justin came out and brought us in and played us new music… it’s a completely new sound.”

She went on, “I’ve heard a variety of unreleased music and new music . He definitely has a few different sounds.”

Before continuing, “The stuff he played us was very powerful, very soulful , like very new.” She recalled, “The lyrics were just incredible. We were all tearing up. Like, I’m looking at Justin and he just had his eyes closed, like he was mouthing the words.”

“It was a really incredible experience for sure. I loved it,” Sarah went on, adding that when the group left the studio, “the sun was coming up” and summing up the playback as “very moving.”

She also revealed the impromptu listening session took place after the Biebs attended the Special Olympic World Games Opening Ceremony on July 25.

Sarah said, “He’d been up for like 48 hours too, he did the Olympics that day, he had a lot going on that day. But he wanted to show it [Bieber’s new music] to us and kind of just get our opinion on it.”

“I love it because he spends all the time in the studio himself,” she enthused, “He’s a real artist when he creates this music himself and goes by his life experiences and everything. That’s why I’ve always had so much respect for him because he’s a true artist.”

A number of media outlets have mistakenly attributed comments Sarah made about Cody Simpson being an “independent artist,” and “doing everything himself” as remarks related to Bieber.

Sarah addresses the misquotes at the 1:00 minute mark on the clip below.

Back to Justin’s new single announcement. The countdown to its release has been posted at JustinBieber.com , and there are 29 days left before fans can download the full song.

Justin posted a clutch of Instagrams promoting it yesterday. Def Jam Records, Seacrest, Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun, and more did the same.

Talking to Seacrest, the pop star revealed the meaning of his forthcoming single, sharing that it’s about the mystifying nature of females, who he described as ”flip-floppy.’ ”

“Well, girls are often just flip-floppy.” Justin mused. “They say something and they mean something else. So… what do you mean? I don’t really know, that’s why I’m asking!’ ”

The singer also admitted he has feeling overwhelmed at times while prepping his album. He explained, “I’ve been working a lot in the studio, just trying to have a consistent sound, a cohesive sound.”

He added, “I get in my head a lot and I get kind of depressed because I want it to work so badly .”

Justin went on, “I want people to love it. I want to inspire people and sometimes I feel like, ‘Is this good enough? Is this the right sound? Is this the direction I want to go?’ I had kind of a rough week last week. I get in my head and I don’t want to get out of bed sometimes.’”

The young icon sounded way more positive talking about the sound of his new single and direction of his new album.

After describing “What Do You Mean?” as “uptempo,” “fun,” “summery,” and “amazing,” he said his new tracks are sonically similar to his collaborative banger “Where Are Ü Now?” with Jack Ü’s Skrillex and Diplo.

“It’s uplifting , clear, poppy but cool,” said Justin.

Praising Skrillex, the Canadian described the six-time EDM Grammy winner as “a genius, he’s super-futuristic and I just love his sound.” The singer says he intends to “incorporate that sound with what I’m doing” because “it’s new and fresh and I feel like no-one’s done it before.”

Ahead of his new single and fourth full studio album touching down, Justin affirmed that he is “very excited” for what’s to come. He added, “It’s stressful but I’m ready.”

The Biebs’ upcoming album follows his 2013 Journals collection, and 2012’s chart-topping Believe album.
