Justin Bieber gave the Internet something to think about yesterday and then some. The 19-year-old posted what appeared to be a photograph of David S. Goyer and Zack Snyder’s in-progress script for Batman vs. Superman (aka Man of Steel 2) to his Instagram account.
The caption simply read, “#Robin??”
The cover page featured a “Bieber” watermark, as if the script was specifically earmarked for the teen star to read.
Inevitably, reaction was swift. If Batman fans lost the plot over Ben Affleck’s casting as the “tired and weary” hero, they were apoplectic over the prospect of Justin in costume.
Bieber’s Instagram was ‘Liked’ over 346,000 times within four hours of being posted. Comments ranged from declarations of the imminent ruin of Batman to one poster wailing, “No please no, no.”
However, hours before the “Baby” singer posted the picture, Bieber tweeted an obvious hint as to what the “Robin” caption might be about.
“Off to do something funny or…die ),” the tweet read.
Justin was later spotted arriving at the Funny or Die studios with his wing men Lil Za and Lil Twist, which certainly bolsters the theory a comedy video involving a Batman/Superman/Robin skit will be making its way online shortly.
In short Internet, calm down. Also, this tidbit may give fanboys something else to think about:
The script seen in Bieber’s Instagram is titled “Based on Batman: The Dark Knight Falls by Frank Miller and Klaus Jansen” and refers to the fourth chapter of Miller’s “The Dark Knight Returns” graphic novel.
Legit script influence for the real film?
Warner Bros. as yet untitled Man of Steel sequel starring Henry Cavill as Superman and Affleck as Batman is set to touch down in theaters July 17, 2015.
Justin Bieber’s “Robin” will likely arrive far sooner.
Off to do something funny or…die ?

Which should please some…
@AndrewBatReview yeah, I’m actually looking forward to his comedy sketch. I hope it’s good! He makes fun of himself on SNL all the time too.
