Source: Justin Bieber NOT Planning To ‘Surprise’ Selena Gomez At AMAs

The claim that Justin Bieber is planning to “surprise” Selena Gomez and “win her back” by showing up at the 2014 American Music Awards is false, a source tells the Inquisitr .

Selena will be performing her new single “The Heart Wants What It Wants” live for the first time during the show.

Hollywood Life alleges Bieber is “planning to surprise Selena at the awards to try and win her back.”

The gossip website, which is notorious for swamping the news cycle with ridiculous and frequently contradictory stories — and which Gomez previously described as “never true” — claims an insider said Bieber, “feels like that’s the only thing that will make him happy.”

According to this so-called source, the 20-year-old Canadian recently returned from a brief break in Rancho Mirage, near Palm Springs, to carry out his grand gesture at the AMAs .

“He came back to LA because he wants to see Selena,” the alleged mole claims.

“He’s even talking about showing up at the AMA’s to see her. No one on his team thinks that’s a good idea but Justin’s going to do what he wants to do.”

It is also claimed Bieber is “struggling big time,” but is “convinced” that if he sees Gomez “they can work it out. But so far she’s shutting him out completely.”

However, despite Hollywood Life’s seemingly never-ending supply of sources with access to Bieber and Gomez, the claim that the “Confident” singer plans to have a showdown with Selena at the AMAs is pure fiction.

An insider close to Bieber’s team , tells the Inquisitr , “Justin will not be attending this year’s AMAs, and has no plans to ‘surprise’ anyone at the event.”

Hollywood Life is, of course, well known for peddling stories that are inane , sensationalist and totally baseless .

The site’s endless Gomez-Swift “feud” stories, a case in point.

Even without our source’s firm denial that Bieber is planning to attend the American Music Awards and “surprise” Gomez, it should be abundantly clear to most that Hollywood Life is not a credible outlet for insider information.

When Bieber doesn’t show at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on November 23, no doubt the site will run a new set of stories claiming either his team, Gomez’s camp or the actress-singer “banned” him from attending.

Meanwhile, Gomez posted another glimpse of her preparations for her performance at the AMAs. In an Instagram video, the 22-year-old is seen lying on the floor backstage, with the Rock Mafia songwriting/production team and others seen in the background.

Rock Mafia produced and wrote “The Heart Wants What It Wants” and “Do It.” Both tracks feature on the starlet’s upcoming Greatest Hits For You album.

“Eeeeekkkk #AMAs,” Selena captioned the clip.

In a previous photo of her at a rehearsal studio, the Latina revealed she “wasn’t prepared for how nervous” she would be.

In closing, Bieber is not attending this year’s American Music Awards and has no plans to surprise Gomez at the event.
