Justin Bieber has been hit yet with another lawsuit. The 21-year-old singer is being sued by his former neighbor, Jeffrey Schwartz, whose house was egged by the star and some of his friends on January 9, 2014.
The incident led to Bieber later pleading no contest to a misdemeanor vandalism charge , paying $80,900 restitution to the neighbor, being ordered to anger management classes, community service, and put on two years probation.
However, this new lawsuit is nothing to do with the vandalism charge, which is a closed case.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ , Schwartz is now claiming he and his wife suffered emotional distress during an alleged verbal spat with one of Bieber’s bodyguards. The incident allegedly took place over Memorial Day weekend in late May, 2013.
Schwartz — who lives with his wife, son(s), and minor daughter in a gated community in Calabasas, California — alleges one of Bieber’s bodyguards called him a “little Jew boy.” He claims this happened after he and a friend walked over to the singer’s former home to complain about his alleged speeding of his Ferrari around the area that weekend.
According to TMZ, Schwartz claims he told Bieber to stop driving his car recklessly for the safety of neighbors in the community. He alleges the singer’s bodyguards then came out and that one of them allegedly called him a “little Jew boy,” then continued to say, “What are you going to do about it, Jew boy?”
The neigbor claims Justin and his friends terrorized the Calabasas neighborhood while the singer lived there. Listed in court papers, are allegation of Bieber’s or his pals’ wild parties, alleged drag races, other encounters, and an allegation that Bieber spat at Schwartz and threatened to kill him during a spat on March 26, 2013, when Schwartz walked over to tell the singer to refrain from alleged speeding in the area.
That last allegation resulted in a battery investigation by the Los Angeles County police. It was eventually officially closed in October, 2013. The District Attorney’s Office declined to press charges against Bieber due to the lack of independent evidence. At the time, Bieber denied spitting at Schwartz.
Fast forward to 2014 and the actual egging incident. Schwartz’s current lawsuit reportedly mentions Bieber’s swearing while he egged the house that Jeff’s wife and daughter were in at the time.
Schwartz is suing Bieber for damages for alleged emotional distress in his 2015 lawsuit.
