Justin Bieber has revealed his next “Music Mondays” single will be a collaboration with MC on the rise, Chance The Rapper. The Canadian singer unveiled the song’s artwork and title (“Confident”) on Thursday ahead of its midnight release on Sunday (Dec. 9)
“I don’t know if the world is ready for Monday,” Bieber tweeted the Chicago rapper, who replied, “It almost feels like a holiday.”
The pair’s exchange follows tweets earlier this week from the “All That Matters” singer to Chance.
Complex later revealed “Confident” is not the final “Music Mondays” track, based on a source and a tweet sent by Justin to Diplo, Big Sean, Chance, Lil Tunechi and R. Kelly.
The 19-year-old wrote , “@chancetherapper @BigSean @diplo @LilTunechi @rkelly the [y] have no idea what is coming. #journals (sic).”
It’s since been reported that a huge collaboration between Bieber and all the listed artists will drop the week after “Confident.”
A snippet of the song is currently floating online.
Listens reveal an uptempo reggae-pop-leaning track featuring relationship-centric lyrics detailing the teen star’s preferences in a female.
“Confident” is the second collaboration to roll out from Bieber’s Journals after his duet with R.Kelly on the seduction-fest “PYD” (short for “Put You Down”), and anticipation for what he and Chance will bring to the table is high.
Gonna make them dance this week. Sunday at midnight. New music. She #Confident

Chance is described by Rap-Up as hip-hop’s hottest newcomer and has previously worked with Lil Wayne and James Blake. The 20-year-old rapper released his lauded “Acid Rap” mixtape earlier this year, which SPIN rated as No. 2 on its 50 Best Albums of 2013 list.
“Confident” and the hinted multi-collaboration to come leads neatly into the premiere of the Jon M. Chu directed concert-movie Believe in Los Angeles on December 18, and its US theater debut on Christmas Day.
