Justin Bieber’s visit to a New York City club reportedly ended in a bloody brawl between members of his entourage and a club-goer on Sunday morning (August 4).
The 19-year-old attended the South Pointe club in Southampton, NYC after arriving with a group of between 12 to 14 people at around 2:45 am.
A spokesperson for the singer has denied he was part of any incident.
“Justin was not involved in any altercation,” the rep confirmed .
There are two different versions of events in circulation regarding Bieber’s conduct at the club.
According to the New York Post , a source said:”Justin stayed about an hour but had a great time,” adding: “He was standing on a banquette dancing when his song came on. Girls were trying to flirt with him, but he played it cool.”
However, TMZ and the New York Daily News are reporting markedly more breathless accounts.
According to the New York Daily News , a heated exchange took place between Justin and a male club-goer after a female friend of the male tried to hit on the singer in the roped-off V.I.P. section.
A source told the publication: “He [Justin] ripped his shirt off and went nuts. He was screaming.”
TMZ claim Bieber’s bodyguard’s quickly took the pop star out to the club parking lot where their SUV’s were parked. But the website says a situation kicked off again when Justin allegedly jumped through the sunroof onto the hood of the car.
Most outlets are reporting a dubious gray area here that’s short on details, but reportedly the alleged victim ended up being knocked out on cement and was later treated at a medical center.
TMZ reports police have confirmed an altercation took place between Bieber’s security and the male club-goer after he became aggressive with them.
A police report has been filed by the unidentified man but the singer’s security team are the target of the investigation, not the singer.
Both TMZ and NYDN claim Bieber security were “heavy handed” in their protection of him at the club.
It’s claimed fans who wanted photos of the star were turned down by “intimidating” and “overbearing” bodyguards.
Bieber also hit the headlines last week after one of his Believe tour buses was stopped and searched by Customs and Border Patrol Officers. The singer was not on the bus at the time.
Marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found after two searches. The singer was not on the bus at the time.
The Canadian previously set off a flurry of tongue-wagging when he put a fan’s iPhone down his pants during a recent New Jersey concert after it was thrown onstage.
Bieber also came under fire after pictures of him spitting off his hotel balcony in Toronto morphed into claims that he was spitting on fans who gathered outside the hotel.
In addition to denying any involvement by the pop star in the alleged brawl claims, Bieber’s rep previously denied he spat on his fans .
The singer is currently moving through his North American Believe tour dates and plays Columbia, S.C’s Colonial Life Arena tonight before heading to Florida.
