The Bachelorette has a history of trying to outdo itself year after year. However, with JoJo Fletcher now at the helm, reports of outrageous setups and bizarre dates have many fans wondering if Fletcher is pushing things too far. How will fans react to the latest news of over-the-top group dates?
According to Yahoo TV , fans can expect plenty of crazy moments in the upcoming season of The Bachelorette . Producers recently issued a press release for Season 12 and teased that a variety of “fun, exciting and exotic dates” were in store for Fletcher and her many suitors.
These dates feature a bizarre combination of locations and activities, including a boot camp for firefighters, a hot tub adventure in the middle of a snowy forest, and beach date in Uruguay. These dates sound odd enough, yet they are only the tip of the iceberg.
In the craziest setup of all, Fletcher has requested that the men sit down and talk about their previous experiences in bed in front of a live audience. Not only is this going to be awkward for the suitors, but chances are audience members are going to feel plenty of embarrassment for the poor guys.
Apparently, the dates, strange locations, and activities are meant to help Fletcher get over her rejection from Ben Higgins on The Bachelor . Along with the odd dates, producers are bringing back a few Bachelorette alums to give Fletcher some key advice on picking the right man.
According to Movie News Guide , fans can expect guest appearances by Kaitlyn Bristowe and Ali Fedotowsky. The former reality stars will dish out some advice on the difference “between red hot chemistry and love,” which each of the them knows plenty about.
Aside from the group dates and guest appearances, the contestants will bring plenty of wacky and wild moments of their own. In fact, one of the contestants reportedly asked Fletcher for a kiss during their first encounter, while another actually lands his first kiss after sparks immediately fly between him and Fletcher.
Meanwhile, Wet Paint is reporting that the premiere of The Bachelorette will not disappoint. With that in mind, what can fans expect to unfold during JoJo Fletcher’s debut?
For starters, each contestant will try their hardest to make a good first impression. In fact, a few contestants offer some musical performances, including a country song from a “southern gentlemen” and an R&B tribute from Wells Adams.
Of course, costumes will also play a part in the limo introductions. This includes one unnamed suitor dressed in a kilt and another riding in on a unicorn. The unicorn rider is believed to be Luke Pell, whose costume is a nod to the one Fletcher wore during her first outing on The Bachelor .
While the contestants make their first impressions on Fletcher, fans will be treated to another guest appearance. Apparently, former Bachelor star Jake Pavelka will pop up and offer Fletcher some advice from a man’s perspective.
Pavelka and Fletcher have a past together as family friends. In addition to giving her advice, Pavelka is also going to prank some of the guys, which should be fairly interesting.
By the end of the episode, only 20 men will be left standing. Unfortunately, it isn’t known which of the suitors will make a quick exit and which will live to fight another day. Considering the crazy group dates, guest appearances, and drama behind-the-scenes, fans are definitely in for a wild season.
Season 12 of The Bachelorette is set to premiere May 23 on ABC.
