John McAfee has resurfaced months after he was the focus of a Belize murder investigation, and now he has an important message. McAfee wants everyone to know that the anti-virus software he helped create is worthless and it should be uninstalled from your computer.
In what I can only describe as a strange self-serving video, the anti-virus pioneer shows users how to remove McAfee anti-virus software.
McAfee couldn’t be bothered to just share a screencast; instead, he is surrounded by women in revealing outfits while the title “Eccentric Millionaire” flashes across the screen.
John McAfee then proceeds to reads several letters he claims arrived by way of frustrated customers over the years.
After reading the letters, McAfee asks his friend Bartholomew to explain step-by-step how to uninstall the software. McAfee then sniffs bath salts while a table full of guns surrounds him.
After a little bit of fun McAfee then goes bonkers, telling viewers:
“You know, something went wrong. Fifteen years ago, I had some beautiful software and they took it over. I don’t know what they did. It was like the time I hired that Bangkok prostitute to do my taxes while he f*cked my accountant. It was terrible. The same f*cking thing is going on now.”
So how does John McAfee uninstall the anti-virus software he created? He shoots it with a gun of course.
It should be noted that John McAfee has not been associated with the company he founded since he retired in 1994.
While his video is eccentric and just plain crazy, he might have a valid point. McAfee received its lowest Buzz Score in five years during the company’s December customer satisfaction review. In all fairness, that score arrived while John McAfee was being investigated for murder.
Do you think John McAfee has lost his mind, or is he just a crazy eccentric millionaire with a valid point and a strange way to share his views?
