According to Us Weekly , the injury happened after he dined at the Upper East Side restaurant Scalinatella, where he dined with his daughters Frances and Winnie, and took photos with some fans.
It’s said that his hand injury is not related to his dining experience at Scalinatella. Back in 2013 in a bit for the Late Night Show, Fallon revealed he had a salsa accident. At the time Fallon said he cut his finger while making salsa. “I cut the onion, I cut the garlic, I cut the tomatoes, and I was moving the tomatoes over. I went to put it in the bowl, and when I banged into the bowl I moved the knife back and cut my finger open. I almost cut the tip of my finger off. I went to the South Hampton emergency room. They took care of me right away, but it was scary. The guy said to me, ‘You have a working man’s hand.’”
