It’s official! Jessa (Duggar) Seewald is pregnant! That’s right, 19 Kids and Counting stars Jessa and Ben Seewald are expecting their first child, and it is due on a very special day — the couple’s one year wedding anniversary!

“We’re expecting!” Jessa, 22, told People Magazine .

“We are so excited. The due date is November first, our wedding anniversary.” Ben, 19, added, “We are looking forward to being parents.”

The couple decided to wait and share their news until Jessa entered the second trimester of her pregnancy. However, on tonight’s episode of 19 Kids and Counting , the couple will be airing a special message to their fans.

So, how has Jessa been handling the symptoms of pregnancy? She says she has been doing fine and the morning sickness is getting a lot better. Lucky for Ben, Jessa hasn’t had any crazy food cravings at 1 a.m.

“I am feeling pretty good,” Seewald said. “The morning sickness was different every day. It’s getting better, but I’m still hanging on to the heartburn. And I don’t have any super serious food cravings.”

Jessa explained that she found out she was pregnant one morning before church. She said she took the pregnancy test, and sure enough, it was positive.

“I said, ‘Hey Ben, guess what? Yeah, you’re a dad.’ We couldn’t believe it. We are so excited. We have started talking baby names. It is one of those things that is so special, picking a name for a baby.”

But, don’t think just because they are expecting, that their plans to adopt have changed. While Ben says they are taking it one day at a time to enjoy their pregnancy news, Jessa said they are still planning on adopting at some point.

“Our hearts haven’t changed on adoption,” Jessa said. “We are still making plans.”

“We pray every night that God helps us be good parents,” Ben added. “We are getting advice from other parents.”

Jessa’s news comes quickly after the birth of her older sister Jill (Duggar) Dillard’s son Israel. Jill spent 70 hours in labor and ended up having to endure an emergency c-section. While Jill admits the labor was hard, she said her baby boy was “worth every single contraction.”

“I love our birth story because it bonded us so well,” Jill told People Magazine of her relationship with her husband Derek Dillard. “It brought us through something amazing together. It was a journey that we needed to go through.”

Congratulations to Jessa and Ben on the expansion of their family!
