Jennifer Lawrence is appearing on her first-ever cover of Vogue, but it may not be all that easy to find her photo spread.
The September issue of the fashion magazine runs at a whopping 902 pages and weighs more than 4 pounds.
This week the site Starworks released an image of the magazine’s cover on Instagram, showing Jennifer in a cropped haircut in a picture shot from the shoulders up.
Amazingly, the Jennifer Lawrence issue of Vogue isn’t even the biggest in the magazine’s history. The September 2012 issue featuring Lady Gaga actually ran 916 pages and weighed in at 4.5 pounds.
Landing the gig was a huge accomplishment for Lawrence, as Fashionista explains .
“The September issues are kind of like the Olympics in magazine publishing,” the site notes. “Each glossy competes to be the biggest and the best. Booking the right cover star is, obviously, a big part of the battle. Likewise, for celebrities, nabbing the cover of a September issue is a coup of sorts.”
That would be fitting considering Lawrence is one of the biggest Hollywood stars right now. She’s had a string of hit movies and an Academy Award win, and over the past month there has been quite a bit of press surrounding her Hunger Games sequel, Catching Fire . In July the studio released a trailer to those in attendance at Comic-Con in San Diego, showing growth for Lawrence’s character, Katnis Everdeen.
During a Q&A session at Comic-Con, Jennifer Lawrence talked about how her character’s “life is very different now, she’s struggling from post-traumatic stress from the games. She has a new life; she never has to worry about food. It makes her feel useless in an odd way.”
Though she’s become one of the hottest and most in-demand actresses in Hollywood, Jennifer admitted that she still struggles in the romance department. At least, on screen that is.
Lawrence said when she was filming the Hunger Games sequel she accidentally gave co-star Josh Hutcherson a snotty kiss .
“Oh my god, we should’ve brought that clip with the snot… Just because the snot scene (probably) won’t make the final cut doesn’t mean you won’t get a chance to see the disgusting glory for yourself. I’ll put it on YouTube or something. You gotta see it. There’s all this snot coming out of my nose, and when I go to kiss Josh, it connects with his mouth.”
Jennifer Lawrence can be seen in the September issue of Vogue, which hits newsstands later this month.
