There were rumors that Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck are back together after the estranged husband and wife rekindled their romance during a recent European vacation. However, a new report from PEOPLE revealed the real status of the celebrity couple’s relationship.
The 44-year-old actress has returned to Los Angeles with their three children, Violet, 10; Seraphina, 7; and Samuel, 4, so she can prepare for the end of their school. The 43-year-old actor, on the other hand, is in London filming Justice League .
According to Garner’s close pal, Jennifer denied that she is back together with Ben. She also almost laughs when someone asks her if she has reconciled with her husband. Regarding their divorce, the friend of the actress said that she’s not in a rush and doesn’t mind that it is not finalized yet. However, that does not mean she won’t pursue it.
“She seems adamant about going through with it,” her pal told the PEOPLE .
Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have been married for 10 years and have three children together, which probably makes it more difficult for them to proceed with the divorce. This is also the case of Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green, who has been married for 12 years and has two sons together. What makes their relationship more complicated is the unexpected pregnancy of the 29-year-old actress.
The Miracles from Heaven star seems to have followed the footsteps of Megan as new reports claim that Jen is also pregnant . A source told Radar Online that their pals are expecting the baby news announcement very soon. The two reportedly rekindled their romance in Paris where they were spotted kissing in a hotel bar.
According to a close pal, Garner has been playing Affleck like a fiddle so he would soon change his wild ways and finally realize that their marriage is more important than drinking and gambling. Despite the divorce, she allowed him to stay in the same property and they continue to go on family vacations and co-parent their children.
“In many ways, Ben’s been a lousy husband — but Jen still loves him and missed their steamy sex life!” an insider said. “She’s always wanted another child with him. Even since they split, she’s gushed publicly about how he is the love of her life.”
The actress’ friend revealed that Jennifer thought that her husband would change after giving birth to their youngest son Samuel back in 2012. Unfortunately, the Hollywood heartthrob got back into his old habits and the affair with the nanny made it worse.
“I think they both hoped the split would be the big, final wake-up call that would turn Ben into the husband they’re convinced he can be!” an insider told Radar Online . “Jen loves being a mother, and she wants a real family, not two parents living apart and sharing custody.”
Garner and Affleck haven’t confirmed nor denied the pregnancy news, but new photos emerged that looked like the mother of three has a baby bump. X17 shared pictures of the former Alias star wearing a dark-colored loose sweater and leggings while out with her son. She appears to have a baby bump bulging from her sweats or maybe it was just her undershirt that’s causing the bump.
Over a month ago, Jennifer was spotted wearing a sleeveless shirt and tight-fit leggings which showed her flat tummy. Daily Mailshared photos of the actress and she showed no signs of baby bump, but that was taken back in April. She also looked really fit and sexy wearing a black dress during her visit at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallonback in March.
Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck may not be back together and the actress is unlikely to be pregnant, but the two continue to remain good parents to their three children. They also have nothing but good things to say about each other. During an interview with CBS This Morning , the Argo director revealed his current relationship with his wife .
“We’re doing our very best and we’re putting our kids first and that’s how we’re focusing on our day to day lives and we don’t know what the future’s gonna hold, but each step that we take is one where we prioritize our children and everything else comes second,” he said.
