Last night at the iHeart Radio Music Awards, country music made it’s presence known when superstar Jason Aldean stepped onto the red carpet with his new wife Brittany Kerr. Kerr and Aldean looked stunning as always. The new bride wore a black strapless dress with cut-outs and had her hair slicked back into a neat ponytail. Aldean wore his trademark cowboy hat, jeans, and a black leather jacket. The pair looked cozy as they posed for pictures and even stole a few kisses for the cameras.
Aldean had a big night at the awards show, first performing his chart topping smash hit “Burnin’ It Down,” and then beating out some big names for Country Song of the Year. “Burnin’ It Down” topped the country and pop charts for weeks, and as the first single off Aldean’s new album Old Boots, New Dirt, it helped make the project go platinum before the end of 2014.
As Aldean accepted the prestigious award last night, he made sure to thank his co-writers on the song, his two daughters Kendyl and Keeley, and last but not least, his blushing new bride.
“I wanna thank my new wife Brittany, sitting over there,” Aldean said as his bride beamed.
It has only been about a week since Aldean and Kerr tied the knot in a small ceremony that was held in Mexico. The couple only invited very close family and friends to the nuptials as a way to keep things more intimate. Aldean’s two daughters from ex-wife Jessica Ussery were in attendance to support their father on his big day.
Now that Aldean and Kerr have finally said “I do”, what comes next for the couple some may ask. Well according to People , Aldean is already planning for some babies in his future.
“In the next couple of years, probably, we definitely want to have kids,” says Aldean.
Daughters Kendyl and Keeley are also excited about the possibility of having younger siblings, but really want a brother, Aldean tells the magazine.
Jason and Brittany will have to find some time to start working on their plans to expand their new family. Right now, Aldean is in the middle of his “Burnin’ It Down” tour, and he is also scheduled to hook up with country superstar Kenny Chesney for a few select shows. Jason is at the top of his career right now, selling out stadiums and music festivals across the country.
Now that Aldean and Kerr are married, the controversy around their relationship seems to finally be settling down. They were first spotted together in 2012 when they were caught on camera kissing at a bar in Los Angeles. The problem with that was that Aldean was still married at the time. The two have managed to stick together though regardless of all the media and fan scrutiny they have faced, and now Aldean seems to have found his pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
