Ivanka converted to Orthodox Judaism in 2009, when she married New York businessman Jarek Kushner, according to the Times of Israel , meaning Donald Trump now has a daughter, a son-in-law, and three grandchildren who are Jewish.
Speaking last week to the AIPAC policy conference, Trump hinted at his excitement about his daughter’s pregnancy and about being a grandpa for the eighth time.
“I love Israel. I’ve been with Israel so long in terms of — I’ve received some of my greatest honors from Israel. My father before me, incredible. My daughter, Ivanka, is about to have a beautiful Jewish baby.”

Born in 1981, Ivanka Trump is the second child from Donald Trump’s 1977-1991 marriage to former Czech model Ivana Zelní?ková. Ivanka’s older brother, Donald Trump Jr., and younger brother, Eric, also came from that marriage. Ivanka’s half-sister, Tiffany Trump, was born to Donald’s second wife, Marla Maples; her half-brother, Barron William Trump, was born to Trump’s third and current wife, former Slovenian model Melania Knauss.
After brief careers in modeling and jewelry design, Ivanka went into the Trump family business — real estate. Ivanka is currently the executive vice president of Development & Acquisitions in her father’s company. Also like her father, Ivanka has dabbled in both reality television and beauty pageants.
Speaking to GQ magazine in 2010, Ivanka talked about how she and her siblings have avoided the pitfalls that seem to plague the wealthy children of celebrity parents.
“I look at my brothers and myself and I’m, like, really proud of the fact that nobody’s, like, totally f****d-up. Nobody’s a drug addict, nobody’s driving around chasing women, snorting coke. There’s something amazing about that. And you know, this isn’t to pat myself on the back, but I could be a lot worse.”
During Donald Trump’s current campaign for president, he’s taken a different approach from his challengers when it comes to family. Although many candidates actively avoid exposing their families to the rigors of their political campaigns, Donald Trump’s family has been an integral part of his campaign.
Last week, after Donald made some controversial comments about former Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, Donald Jr. defended his father, according to KUTV (Salt Lake City). And like his father, Donald Jr. did not mince words .
“Honestly, It’s a shame. I was there not that long ago, when Mitt was in my father’s office, begging for money… from him, from me, from my brother, from my sister… It’s a shame that he’s had to take this establishment party line… because what my father is doing that’s unique is giving a voice to the people. So for him to say that he’s for the people, I think it’s sad and I think it’s really disingenuous.”
Perhaps most controversial, however, has been Donald (Sr.’s) insistence on making the attractiveness of his wife, compared to that of Republican rival Ted Cruz, a part of his campaign. Last week, Donald tweeted an unflattering picture of Ted Cruz’ wife, Heidi, next to a picture of his own wife, Melania.

Ivanka Trump, though heavily pregnant, has also been an active part of her father’s campaign, explaining to Iowans the caucus process and campaigning for her dad in South Carolina .
