A day after TMZ leaked what they claim are photos of the Millennium Falcon on the Star Wars Episode VII set , director J.J. Abrams took to Twitter to respond to the leaks and tease fans.
Now that things are finally under way with the massively anticipated Disney production, everyone is trying to get their hands on anything and everything related to the Abrams flick.
The director is known for being extremely secretive with his projects, but so far Star Wars Episode VII has proven to be extremely difficult, as the entire world seems to be hanging on any news related to the new chapter of the intergalactic saga.
On Wednesday, J.J. Abrams appeared to be upset, but showed he also has a sense of humor when — using his company, Bad Robot’s, Twitter handle — he tweeted this message related to the alleged photo leaks of the Millenium Falcon:

As you may notice, the piece of paper on which Abrams wrote the reply to the leakers is sitting on what seems to be something that looks very much like on top of a old hologame table, just like the one previously seen on the Millennium Falcon in the original trilogy.
The report published on TMZ this past Tuesday, suggests that one of the photos is that of Han Solo’s spacecraft , which made its debut in the very first Star Wars, A New Hope and became symbolic of the struggle between The Force and the Dark Side.
In A New Hope the Millennium Falcon — a revamped YT-1300 — is in the possession of smuggler Han Solo (Harrison Ford) thanks to a game of sabacc he won against his pal Lando Calrissian (Billy Dee Williams).
Jedi master Obi Wan Kenobi (Alec Guiness), Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), C3PO (Anthony Daniels), and R2 D2 (Kenny Baker) rent the spacecraft with the promise of a hefty payout for Solo, if he helps the group deliver the stolen plans of the Death Star to the rebel planet of Alderaan.
Despite the speculation and Abrams’ tease, whether the Millennium Falcon will actually appear in Star Wars Episode VII or not is up for debate, since at the time of A New Hope Luke already called it a “piece of junk” and it had trouble entering into light speed mode.
It remains to be seen what measures — if any — will Abrams take to protect the set of Star Wars Episode VII and with it the Millenium Falcon and any other returning or new piece.
