The iPhone 7 is reportedly in the mass production phase with the great unveiling expected in September. Even still, Apple has been making some last-minute updates according to multiple outlets.
Earlier this week, Inquisitr reported on rumors stemming from sources cited by various publications that Apple will be offering the device in Space Black , which is not a new color for the iPhone, but one that hasn’t been offered since as far back as the iPhone 5, launched back in 2012.
9to5Mac , which reported on this rumor first, noted that its source was an anonymous one with “absolutely no track record,” and that a Space Black iPhone 7 could be “complete BS,” but also noted that the source’s IP address was located close to Apple’s headquarters and that it “came with some seemingly reliable info.”

According to the publication, the source also said the Home button will include “haptic feedback to simulate a click, using the same approach as Force Touch.”
Forbes , citing Weibo as a source, reports that neither the iPhone 7 nor the iPhone 7 Plus will come with a 64GB storage option .
Rumors that Apple may offer three different models in its upcoming line of devices have been around for a while. This would theoretically include not only the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, but also an iPhone 7 Pro. TechnoBuffalo reports on a leak out of China that gives purported details on the three models as well as indicating that neither 16GB nor 64GB will be offered. It says the following.
The iPhone 7 will allegedly start at 5288 yuan (roughly $795) for the 32GB version. If you want 128GB you’ll have to pay 6088 yuan ($915) and the 256GB model could cost 7088 yuan ($1066). The iPhone 7 Plus reportedly starts at 6088 yuan ($915) with 32GB, 6888 yuan ($1036) for 128GB, and 7888 yuan ($1186) for 256GB. Finally, the iPhone 7 Pro might cost at least 7088 yuan ($1066) with 32GB of storage, 7888 yuan ($1186) for 128GB of storage, and 8888 yuan ($1337) for 256GB.
Other recent rumors Inquisitr covered a week ago include fewer plastic antenna bands, a bigger CMOS sensor, a dual-lens camera, dual SIM slots, and the presence of a headphone jack, which there has been conflicting reports about. The jack is expected to part of the less expensive version of the 4.7-inch iPhone 7, which is expected to replace the iPhone 6 in Apple’s line-up. The iPhone 7 Plus is not expected to have the jack. Users would instead use the Lightning port or Bluetooth for audio.
Last month, Apple gave consumers a look at what they can expect from the operating system — iOS 10 — that will power its new devices. It includes updates to the Messages, Photos, Music, and News apps, and features a new Home app.
Apple SVP of Software Engineering Craig Federighi said that “iOS 10 adds Siri intelligence into QuickType and Photos, automates your home with the new Home app and opens up Siri, Maps, Phone and Messages to developers — while increasing security and privacy with powerful technologies like Differential Privacy.”
There’s a new “Raise to Wake” feature, which automatically wakes the screen as the device is raised, and makes it easier to view notifications from the Lock screen. Notifications, the Today view, and the Control Center can be accessed with a swipe or a press. The OS also includes deeper 3D Touch integration with iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, and likely the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

Third-party VoIP call integration and voicemail transcription are also part of the new OS, as is a new caller ID extension for spam alerts. There’s a split-view feature for Safari on iPad, and Apple Pay can be used for payments on websites using Safari.
iOS 10 will be available in public beta this month. In the fall, it will be available as a free software update for iPhone 5 and later, all iPad Air and iPad Pro models, iPad 4th generation, iPad mini 2 and later, and iPod touch 6th generation.
As always, all iPhone 7 leaks and rumors should be taken with a grain of salt. Apple will make its own announcements soon enough, and we can finally put all of this stuff to bed. Of course, then we can focus on what the iPhone 8 may or may not have in store!
