Most people buy a new iPhone in order to use it as a communications and entertainment device. However, there are some people who buy the new iPhone in order to see how much pressure it takes to bend it and how much water it takes break it. According to ZDNet , the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus don’t bend too easily.
“The bottom line: The new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus does indeed seem stronger than the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus that was released last year. Will it bend? Or course it will, after all it’s made of aluminum and glass, but the force needed to bend it seems to be a lot greater.”
According to PCMag , the new iPhones are also water-resistant .
“The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus are more water-resistant than previous versions of the iPhone. We wouldn’t recommend washing your new iPhone in the sink, but they’re at least more protected from a little splish-splash—and, no, Apple isn’t teasing this ‘feature’ as part of its marketing at all.”
This means that if you leave your iPhone by the shower and it gets a little wet, you should have nothing to worry about. If you drop your iPhone 6s or 6s Plus in the toilet, then you may have to pay for a replacement. It looks like, in the near future, you may be able to replace your iPhone with one that has a curved screen. The Samsung Galaxy 6s Edge and 6s Edge Plus currently show off curved screens and, according to BGR , Apple is preparing its own version of a smartphone with a curved screen .
“But this isn’t the first time Apple has been rumored to be working on iPhones with curved wraparound displays. Most recently, a report claimed that South Korean display makers are already presenting such screen solutions to Apple for future iPhone use, and the company appears to be interested.”
Perhaps Apple is seeing how the success of the Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus are showing that consumers really like curved screens. As BGR notes, Apple could plan to take things further by producing a “wraparound” device that has no physical buttons on the front. This move would silence those critics who say the latest iPhone is behind the times.
The new iPhone has received mostly good reviews, but some may consider that bad since Apple’s smartphone is accustomed to receiving unanimously excellent reviews. The Wall Street Journal criticizes the battery life of the new iPhone , noting that it is the most important aspect of a smartphone these days and, unfortunately, Apple doesn’t deliver. The review adds that the regular iPhone 6s will get you through the day, but you’ll need to recharge by nighttime. The battery life on the iPhone 6s Plus is better, but there still may be some who will need to recharge it before bedtime. This is in stark contrast to the Galaxy Note 5, which gives even the most powerful users a full day’s worth of juice.
PC Magazine gave the regular iPhone 6s four-and-a-half stars. They state that the 6s may look just like its predecessor, but offers some real advantages that make the whole iPhone experience better.
