New Injustice: Gods Among Us images and video have confirmed that Hawkgirl and Sinestro will be in the game.
The upcoming fighter from NetherRealm Studios is DC Comics fan’s dream come true. In addition to a plethora of other characters from the universe, players will able be able to control Hawkgirl and Sinestro during their epic battles.
According to Cinema Blend , a batch of new images and a new video have confirmed the characters’ involvement with the brawler. Looking over the roster of heroes and villains, gamers will have plenty of fighters to choose from when the game arrives this April.
With the addition of Sinestro and Hawkgirl, Injustice: Gods Among Us has a total of 20 playable characters currently available on the roster. The line-up also includes Aquaman, Shazam, Lex Luthor, Bane, Deathstroke, Batman, Superman, the Flash, Cyborg, Nightwing, Wonder Woman, the Joker, Green Arrow, Green Lanten, Catwoman, Harley Quinn, and Solomon Grundy.
Gamenguide explains there will be a total of 24 characters and 15 arenas when the game streets. This doesn’t include the additional superheroes and supervillains that could arrive in the form of DLC down the road.
This is what NetherRealm had to say about upcoming expansions:
“With ‘Mortal Kombat,’ we brought in crazy guests like Freddy Krueger. So we’ll definitely want to introduce unexpected characters [via DLC] to ‘Injustice.’ That’ll be our strategy. It’s comparable to Mortal Kombat, but being really aggressive with our DLC characters.”
