If you haven’t heard of Angelina Jordan until now , get ready. You’re about to start hearing about this eight-year-old Norwegian girl everywhere. And when you watch the below video of Angelina singing the classic song “Fly Me To The Moon” you’ll understand why. There are big-time singers with multiple gold records who would kill for a voice like this girl has.
Her full name is Angelina Jordan Astar, which of course is already leading to headlines like “Astar is Born.” And why not? Angelina has been competing this year on the TV show Norway’s Got Talent . Making it all the way to the semi-finals on April 14 Angelina sang “Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down),” a tune made famous in the 1960s by Cher — and she won.
Angelina fell in love with Whitney Houston’s voice when she wasn’t even two years old. She’s been singing ever since. Now this amazing vocal prodigy is preparing to compete in the Norway’s Got Talent final and a shot at international fame.
The video below is from March 21, when Angelina appeared on the Norwegian TV program Senkveld , which in English is called The Late Show , and features Angelina Jordan singing a song most famously recorded by Frank Sinatra.
Written in 1954 by Bart Frank, Frank Sinatra recorded his version in 1964. The number has been recorded by dozens of other artists since and is now considered an American standard. But we think that eight-year-old Angelina Jordan’s version of “Fly Me To The Moon” ranks up there with the best of them.
Prepare to be amazed.
