There will be a new “Blade Runner” movie hitting theaters soon. It will be directed by Ridley Scott. And it may see Harrison Ford reprise his role as Deckard.

According to Twitch Film, the original “Blade Runner” star has “entered early talks” to join the film.

The rumor contradicts previous statements from Alcon president Andrew Kosgrove and director Ridley Scott. Scott said the new “Blade Runner” would feature a completely original story and Kosgrove said:

“In no way do I speak for Ridley Scott but if you’re asking me will this movie have anything to do with Harrison Ford, the answer is no. This is a total reinvention and in my mind that means doing everything fresh, including casting.”

Ford even seemed skeptical about his involvement, saying:

“I wouldn’t feel bad if I were not invited to the party.”

But Ford and Scott have been reliving some of their glory days recently. Harrison Ford returned for a fourth installment of “Indiana Jones” and Scott is currently working on his latest movie, “Prometheus,” which is a prequel to his movie “Alien.”

Do you think Harrison Ford should reprise his role as Decker in the new “Blade Runner?”

Here’s the trailer for the original movie.
