With Hannah Graham missing still, the parents of the University of Virginia student are asking the public for help in finding the alleged victim of Jesse Matthew.
In a related report by The Inquisitr , the 32-year-old Matthew is now in jail, arrested in Texas as a suspect in Graham’s disappearance. Police charged him with abduction with intent to defile, and he currently is being held in a Virginia jail without bond.
Matthew’s taxi cab vehicle was seized by police as part of the investigation. Matthew has also been linked by DNA evidence to the disappearance of 20-year-old Virginia Tech student Morgan Harrington, who went missing after attending a Metallica concert in Charlottesville and was last seen hitchhiking. Even with Hannah Graham missing officially, locals believe it’s possible she is dead , and her body may be found in the woods.
Police have been using an aerial drone in the search for the missing Hannah Graham. This is the first time the state has ever used a drone in a search like this, and the high definition camera allows searchers to check large tracts of land more quickly.
Assuming Hannah Graham is simply missing and alive somewhere, authorities have issued a $100,000 reward for her safe return and already thousands of tips have poured in. Hannah’s mother, Sue Graham, believes it’s possible someone has critical information that could help end the case, and she’s calling on the public to report anything they may know.
“John [Graham] has already said that this is every parent’s worst nightmare. That is true, but it is also a nightmare for our son, James, for Hannah’s grandparents and other members of our family, as well as for all of Hannah’s many friends here in Charlottesville and beyond. Somebody listening to me today either knows where Hannah is, or knows someone who has that information,” said Mrs. Graham according to CNN . “We appeal to you to come forward and tell us where Hannah can be found. Please, please, please help end this nightmare for all of us. Please help us to bring Hannah home.”
With Hannah Graham missing, parents in other missing persons cases have come forward to revisit cold cases that were never solved in the Virginia area. The families of Heather Hodges, Alexis Murphy, Morgan Harrington, and Samantha Clarke are working with CUE Center for Missing Persons, and they hope new clues may come in due to the Graham case.
“The more time that there is that goes by the more people will go with their live and it just fades from public memory,” said Shawn White, Virginia State Outreach Coordinator for CUE, according to WSET . “Every single person deserves to have attention, awareness and to be searched for.”
