Gwyneth Paltrow is pretty well-known in the media for a certain level of snobbery, and she often speaks of her aversion to living in America due to our boring dinner party conversations and other cultural shortcomings.
A few years back in an interview in Europe, Paltrow said of her newly adopted homeland that she preferred “living [in England] because [she doesn’t] fit into the bad side of American psychology. The British are much more intelligent and civilized than the Americans.” Paltrow isn’t alone in her criticism of American food, either, but she recently said in an interview that she’d “I’d rather smoke crack than eat cheese from a can.”
Paltrow also said that her kids don’t go to McDonald’s, and that she doesn’t tell them about Happy Meal toys. The actress did admit to one vice with her organic, home-cooked meals:
“I drink constantly while I’m cooking,” she says. “Wine, either colour.”
