Gwen Stefani surprised the Radio Disney Music Awards audience with a special performance of “Make Me Like You,” and Blake Shelton cheered her on.
As E! News reports, one of Gwen Stefani’s other fellow former judges on The Voice , Pharrell Williams, presented the “Misery” singer with the Radio Disney Hero Award on Saturday night. Gwen was recognized for being a positive role model and inspiring her fans to be better people, and someone else she’s had a positive impact on was there to help her celebrate her big win. As you can see from the photos, Blake was her date for the night.

Gwen Stefani graciously posed with a few lucky RDMA attendees during the show, and Blake Shelton was cropped out of their photos. However, Gwen didn’t let go of her beau’s hand while obliging her excited fans. If Gwen and Blake were trying to keep the “Came Here to Forget” singer’s presence at the Radio Disney Music Awards a secret by refusing to be photographed together, they weren’t doing a very good job of it.
They might as well have just included Blake in the frame because 3/4ths of Gwen’s body is facing him anyway pic.twitter.com/J35lKXSDe1

Another Radio Disney Music Awards audience member managed to capture video footage of Blake Shelton hugging Gwen Stefani and giving her a quick kiss on the cheek before she walked onstage to accept her award.
Even though Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton attend the event together, Blake decided to skip walking the red carpet with Gwen at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. According to the Daily Mail , Gwen gave her six-year-old niece, Stella Stefani , the star treatment instead, and both girls looked super stylish on the red carpet. Gwen rocked a white, sequined-covered gown with a rainbow-colored pattern, and Stella wore a denim romper with a paint splatter design. The pig-tailed future fashionista completed her look with athletic socks and a pair of cowboy boots that Blake would surely approve of. Stella held her aunt’s hand and didn’t let all the cameras intimidate her. As you can see, Stella and Gwen both kept big smiles on their faces while they were photographed.
The Radio Disney Music awards won’t air on the Disney Channel until tonight, but a few audience members have been sharing footage of Gwen’s surprise performance of “Make Me Like You.” Gwen paid homage to the live music video for the song by singing it in front of a group of colorfully-clad backup dancers on roller skates.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Gwen Stefani has admitted that “Make Me Like You” is about Blake Shelton, so, of course, he wasn’t going to miss out on getting to see her sing it live.
Gwen and Blake have been very supportive of each other’s new songs and albums, and Gwen gave Blake the ultimate musical gift when she decided to lend her voice to his upcoming record, If I’m Honest . During an interview with Entertainment Tonight , Blake admitted that he enlisted Gwen to help generate buzz for their couple’s collaboration, which is titled “Go Ahead and Break My Heart.” After Blake had received a mock-up of the artwork on the back of the album, which included its track listing, he asked Gwen to tweet a photo of it.
“I said, ‘You know what? Take a picture of that and tweet it,’” Shelton told Entertainment Tonight . “It’ll be our way to announce that yes, we have a duet together.”
Blake said that he was initially nervous about collaborating with someone who comes from such a different musical background, but he definitely thinks that the risk was worth it.
“I hesitate to brag on it too much but I really think that it’s as good of a song as I’ve ever written in my life,” Shelton said.
You can hear Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s duet when If I’m Honest drops on May 20, and you can check out Gwen’s Radio Disney Music Awards performance tonight on the Disney Channel at 7 p.m. ET.
