When George Zimmerman rescued a family called the Gerstles from an overturned SUR, they were of course immediately grateful, but now they are “terrified of threats.”
As previously reported by The Inquisitr, the George Zimmerman SUV rescue was in Sanford, which surprised many since most people assumed George Zimmerman would be hiding out far away from where the Trayvon Martin shooting took place.
The SUV crash occurred at the intersection of I-4 and route 417 and George Zimmerman rescued the Gerstle family by grabbing a fire extinguisher and helping them escape from their vehicle. George Zimmerman’s defense lawyer Mark O’Mara says the SUV rescue was just “George being George.”
But an unnamed friend of the family George Zimmerman rescued claims the Gerstles are fearful of being accused of portraying George Zimmerman as a hero:
“They are very grateful to Zimmerman for what he did, but they do not want to get involved. There is so much hatred directed towards him they have got to think about their own family. There are a lot of crazies out there. If they say anything in support of him it could backfire.”
The family rescued by George Zimmerman cancelled a news conference , saying they were “no comfortable doing media interviews” and they that their privacy be respected. When they spoke their voices were supposedly “trembling” and they feared anything positive they said about George Zimmerman would be considered “toxic.” Mr. Gerstle apparently screamed at reporters who attempted to take pictures of them.
Some people are even claiming the George Zimmerman SUV rescue was staged . Mark O’Mara is dismissive of that claim:
“I will acknowledge it was coincidental four or five days after the verdict, but it was not set up or staged. Really, do you think we would’ve set up a family of four on the side [of the road], destroying an SUV? Those who want to believe it’s staged, they can go ahead and believe that. They can believe the Earth is flat.”
It’s funny how George Zimmerman can pull someone out a flipped SUV but can’t push a 17 y.o. off of him! http://t.co/sI2WLff7lA

What do you think about the family George Zimmerman rescued from the SUV being afraid of threats?
