“First hand painted artwork by me, George Zimmerman. Everyone has been asking what I have been doing with myself. I found a creative way to express myself, my emotions and the symbols that represent my experiences,” the former neighborhood watchman wrote in the description.

“My art work allows me to reflect, providing a therapeutic outlet and allows me to remain indoors. I hope you enjoy owning this piece as much as I enjoyed creating it. Your friend, George Zimmerman”

Robert Zimmerman Jr. confirmed to Bay News 9 that the auction is real and that the painting is his brother’s original work .

George Zimmerman was arrested for domestic violence in Seminole County, Florida, last month following a disturbance call at his girlfriend’s home in Apopka. Police said the former neighborhood watchman, who was acquitted in July of killing 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, used a shotgun to break a table and then pointed it at girlfriend Samantha Scheibe. Zimmerman, however, said it was Scheibe who broke the table, and that he never removed his gun from inside a locked bag.

Police took Scheibe’s side and arrested Zimmerman. He was charged with aggravated assault and misdemeanor counts of domestic violence and criminal mischief. After surrendering all of his guns, he was released on $9,000 bail.

Samantha Scheibe changed her mind about the assault charge . She said that police “misinterpreted” her in her statement and that the arrest report did not accurately recount what happened. Scheibe said she was not afraid of George Zimmerman “in any manner.”
