George Zimmerman is looking at a felony charge that could put him in prison for years after he allegedly pointed a shotgun at his girlfriend.

Zimmerman was arrested and booked by the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office in Florida on Monday and is being held without bail. Police say he pointed the shotgun at his girlfriend during an argument. The police report says the two were fighting when Zimmerman used a shotgun to break a table and then pointed it at girlfriend Samantha Scheibe.

George Zimmerman entered the national spotlight in 2012 when he shot and killed unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin. Zimmerman said he believed Martin was a burglar and briefly followed the 17-year-old. Later the two scuffled and Zimmerman shot Trayvon.

Zimmerman claimed he was acting in self-defense and was acquitted in July.

Part of this week’s incident was captured on a 911 call. In the recording, a woman is heard telling a dispatcher, “He’s inside my house breaking all my (things) because I asked him to leave.”

The woman then says to someone, “I’m doing this again? You just broke my glass table. You just broke my sunglasses and you put your gun in my freaking face and told me to get the (expletive) out.”

But another 911 call from a man claimed that his girlfriend was “for lack of a better term, going crazy on me” and throwing his possessions out of the house. The man said he was calling police because “I just want everyone to know the truth.”

George Zimmerman said it was his girlfriend who broke the table, and that he never removed his gun from inside a locked bag.

Police took Scheibe’s side of the story, arresting George Zimmerman .

It isn’t the first time George Zimmerman has been in trouble because a gun after his acquittal. Late this summer, Zimmerman’s estranged wife also claimed that he pointed a gun at her and her father during an argument.
