George Clooney Doesn’t Want To Age On Film, Retiring From Acting?

Hollywood actor and confirmed hunk George Clooney is getting worried about aging in the movies. Whether it is having a gorgeous and younger wife that worries him, Clooney’s acting career is now, reportedly, “up in the air.” He also spoke out about his choice in the upcoming U.S. presidential elections.

While Clooney, 54, is worried about aging, as reported on the Inquisitr , fellow Hollywood star Brad Pitt , 52, is looking better and better. So what makes it so different for George Clooney?

If anything, Clooney is probably the most gracefully aging man on the big screen, and to his female fans, he just keeps getting better. There is something about certain older guys that makes them look distinguished and, coupled with Clooney’s humor and his mischievous spirit, he can’t fail.

However, it seems Clooney told BBC News this week, “I think nobody really wants to see anybody really aging.”

Amal Clooney’s husband then went on to say that the camera is a “very unforgiving thing” and that “aging becomes something that, you know, you try to do less and less on screen.”

Clooney said you try to pick the films that work best for you, but that as you age, those films become less and less. He said as you age on screen, “you get to that point where you really understand that you can’t stay in front of the camera your whole life.”

Among his many films, George Clooney’s latest film project was Hail, Caesar , but now he feels he wants to be behind the camera, rather than in front of it. He has enjoyed acting in his many films but says directing is his great love and that he enjoys it a lot.

Clooney says he has had some really great success, but there have also been some not-so-successful films and that is a part of the experience. However, he says it is really fun.

“It’s much more fun and it’s infinitely more creative to be directing.”

While many Hollywood stars use plastic surgery and hair dye to keep looking young and sexy, George Clooney is having none of it. He reportedly told BBC Radio last year that he is a big believer in the idea that you can’t try to look younger . He said you just have to try and look the best you can at the age you are and not worry about it. Now it seems he is worried indeed.

According to George, you have a couple of options, and those are to get older or die, saying that you have to get used to the idea that your roles in films and who you actually are and are perceived to be, is going to change. He said that will disappoint people at times.

Should George Clooney, indeed, stop acting and appearing in Hollywood films, that is sure to disappoint far more people than he knows, especially his loyal female fans.

In other recent Clooney news, George also sat down for an interview with the Guardian recently and discussed his thoughts on Republican presidential hopeful, Donald Trump , and he is definitely not a fan.

“He’s just an opportunist,” Clooney said. “Now he’s a fascist; a xenophobic fascist.”

He went on to say that during election season, it isn’t always the person with the best idea that catches the voters’ attention, but rather the person who is loudest, and that certainly describes The Donald.

Clooney said, “Let’s put things into perspective,” and went on to say that in election season, things get crazy and “the loudest voices are the furthest and most extreme.”

According to George, Trump saying he will ban Muslims from the country is a “massively stupid idea.” Clooney said America isn’t going to do that.

“It says in the Statue of Liberty, bring us your huddled masses. It’s not what’s going to happen.”

George Clooney may, however, have alienated a few fans by then stating he supports Hillary Clinton.

“I am a Hillary supporter. I am doing a fundraiser for her.”
