The Game of Thrones Season 6 premiere is only days away and fans are eager for any information about what the new season will bring. Now, thanks to the new reveal of the episode title and synopsis, we have a good idea about what we’ll be seeing.
According to the website Winter Is Coming , the title of the Game of Thrones Season 6 premiere is “The Red Woman,” which is what Lady Melisandre is often referred to in the series.
In the Season 5 finale, Melisandre leaves Stannis behind her and rides for Castle Black. That is where she currently resides along with the late Stannis’ former right-hand man, Davos. Now that Stannis is dead thanks to Brienne of Tarth, these two will have an interesting road ahead of them without their king to lead them.
As for the Season 6 episode description, it is short and sweet. Of course, everyone wants to know if the character of Jon Snow is dead or alive, and the first line of the synopsis lets us know, reading, “Jon Snow is dead.” Okay, he may be dead now, but the majority of fans are convinced that he won’t stay that way for long, and that there is a possibility that Melisandre could actually play a part in bringing him back.
The full synopsis for the Game of Thrones Season 6 premiere reads, “Jon Snow is dead. Daenerys meets a strong man. Cersei sees her daughter again.”
So what we know about Episode 1 so far is that Jon Snow is dead, Daenerys will seemingly meet that Khal of the Dothraki army that picked her up in the Season 5 finale, and Cersei is finally going to see her daughter Myrcella again, but unfortunately Myrcella is dead, meaning Cersei and Jaime Lannister’s only living child is Tommen, who is currently the reigning King of Westeros.
The Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 1 description makes no mention of the show’s lovable character Tyrion Lannister, played by recent SNL host Peter Dinklage; Littlefinger; Arya Stark; Brienne and Podrick; or Bran Stark.
However, as previously reported by the Inquisitr , it looks like Sansa Stark and Theon Greyjoy will be making a run for it and trying to escape the clutches of the evil Ramsay Bolton who has tortured both of them.
The Game of ThronesSeason 6 spoilers reveal that Sansa and Theon will escape, but that they won’t be together for long. Rumor has it that by the end of the season, Theon will be back home in the Iron Islands and Sansa will be back in Winterfell with a very much alive Jon Snow. It should be a very interesting journey to see how they end up back in their respective homes.
Recently, HBO released a summary for the first half of Game of Thrones Season 6, giving fans a quick overview of what to expect without dishing any of the juicy spoilers so many viewers want.
“Following the shocking developments at the conclusion of season five, including Jon Snow’s bloody fate at the hands of Castle Black mutineers, Daenerys’ near-demise at the fighting pits of Meereen, and Cersei’s public humiliation in the streets of King’s Landing, survivors from all parts of Westeros and Essos regroup to press forward, inexorably, towards their uncertain individual fates. Familiar faces will forge new alliances to bolster their strategic chances at survival, while new characters will emerge to challenge the balance of power in the east, west, north and south.”
Game of Thrones Season 6 is being called the best season yet, and with things only getting harder for our favorite characters, fans can’t wait to see how it all plays out.
