Episode 7 of Season 6 of HBO’s Game of Thrones is called “The Broken Man.” This title could reference to a couple of items so let’s have a look at some possible predictions for this episode.

SPOILER ALERT: This article contains information and speculation about Episode 7 of HBO’s Game of Thrones sixth season. Please proceed with caution if you wish to avoid potential spoilers.

The official synopsis for Episode 7 is as follows.

“The High Sparrow (Jonathan Pryce) eyes another target. Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) confronts a hero. Arya (Maisie Williams) makes a plan. The North is reminded.”

Episode 7 of Game of Thrones is written by Bryan Cogman and directed by Mark Mylod.

The official teaser video for Episode 7 of Game of Thrones is below.

So what can we expect from Episode 7 of Game of Thrones ? Let’s have a look at the title first before we break down the synopsis.

“The Broken Man” could refer to a least two things. The first being the epic speech given by Septon Meribald in the novel the TV series is based on. The Broken Man speech tells of how the glorious stories of war can be misguided and how army deserters live their lives day to miserable day. Another theory given on the Game of Thrones Wikia suggests it could indicate a return of the Hound (Rory McCann), a man left for dead. The theory is that he survives and is therefore now a “broken man.”

Now, onto the synopsis breakdown.

“The High Sparrow eyes another target.” The High Sparrow appears to continue on with his world domination tour of Westeros. It’s hard to say who he might see as a new target. Cersei (Lena Headey) or Margaery’s grandmother, Olenna Tyrell (Dame Diana Rigg), seem like likely choices; start with Margaery, work your way outwards. However, could the High Sparrow perhaps be targeting Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) in this episode of Game of Thrones ? After all, if he brings Jaime into the fold, he could then, potentially, control all of the Lannisters. And, after Jaime publicly tried to get the High Sparrow to return Margaery and her brother, Ser Loras (Finn Jones), being able to convert someone so openly against his religious order would certainly be a draw card.

However, while the High Sparrow may have his eye on another target, there is speculation he should be keeping a watch on those he has already converted: Margaery Tyrell in particular. In a seemingly quick turn around, Margaery went from non-believer to public advocate over the span of an episode. So is this a ruse? According to a Reddit user , a line uttered my Margaery back in Season 4 of Game of Thrones may indicate Margaery has a secret plan to kill all of the sparrows.

“Jaime confronts a hero.” From the teaser video of Episode 7 of Game of Thrones, we can see Jaime visiting with Brynden Tully (Clive Russell), which is interesting because Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) and Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) are also on their way there in an effort to unite the North against Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon). Aside from what Jaime and Sansa are requesting of Brynden Tully, “ Tarthbane” shippersare already concerned that Jaime and Brienne could be in the same spot at the same time and this could ruin things for Tormund (Kristofer Hivju). But things could already be ruined for Tormund as, in the teaser video, we see him willing to die for Jon Snow (Kit Harington), so perhaps Brienne really should keep her options open.

“Arya makes a plan.” Hopefully Arya makes a very good plan because Episode 6of Game of Thronessaw Arya abdicate from the House of Black and White. And if there is one thing we know about this group of people is that if they want you dead, you will be dead.

“The North is reminded.” Of the Starks or of white walkers? The last part of the teaser video makes a mention of the undead, so could the white walkers attack? Only tuning into Episode 7 of Game of Thrones will reveal all.
