Forge of Empires , the hugely successful online game which was previously only available through browser based apps, is now available on Android, according to developer InnoGames as well as several reports . According to InnoGames, the Forge of Empires Android version will also have cross platform functionality.
“From now on, players can expand their territories, not only in browser and on iOS, but also on Android devices. They will not have to start from scratch as the app offers full cross-platform functionality: players can use the same account on all platforms and switch back and forth.”

InnoGames have been relatively quiet when it comes to Forge of Empires , and one of the last major things we heard about the game was its Colonial Age expansion back in October 2012, at which time the developer spoke about the expansion, but didn’t offer any details as to whether or not they would continue to work on the game afterwards.
“The Colonial Age comes along with 54 new story quests – leading the player through a fantastic story with a surprising twist. Players will be fighting pirates, trading foreign goods, founding colonies and challenging stronger enemies than ever before. Technologies and achievements like exploration, industrial goods and maritime warfare are included in the update, as well as a bonus area for ambitious players. There, rewards, like goods, units, medals and diamonds can be earned by conquering especially challenging provinces. InnoGames is already working on further eras that will bring the game up to the present and beyond.”
Forge of Empires is a strategy game in which players are tasked with leading a city to prosperity. They can research new technologies, build impressive historical buildings and enlarge their sphere of influence through military campaigns and skillful dealing. The game has been awarded the title of “Best Browser Game” at the 2013 German Computer Game Award (Deutscher Computerspielpreis). In 2014 it was one of the top five new strategy titles for iOS. Forge of Empires is playable in 23 languages and currently has 25 million players around the globe.
