For those who don’t know what K-pop is, it refers to pop music that originated in South Korea. The “K” actually stands for “Korea.” According to Wikipedia , the music genre is “ characterized by a wide variety of audiovisual elements .”
“Although it comprises all genres of ‘popular music’ within South Korea, the term is more often used in a narrower sense to describe a modern form of South Korean pop music covering mostly dance-pop, pop ballad, electronic, rock, hip-hop, R&B, etc.”
As previously reported by The Inquisitr, Korean students made headlines back in June when they posted a choreographed dance video online. The video was a hit amongst K-pop fans, even if the music used in the video was by American artists like Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake. The dance moves and style gives more insight into what K-pop is all about.
