Erin Andrews stepped into one of the most famous postgame outbursts of all time when she interviewed Richard Sherman after the Seattle Seahawks won to advance to the Super Bowl, and now the Big Game itself gives viewers a chance to see a sequel.

Andrews is part of the on-field team for Fox at the Super Bowl, giving her the chance to reconnect with the outspoken Seahawks cornerback.

In the interview after the NFC Championship Game, Sherman yelled loudly at Andrews shortly after he broke up a pass to San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree, leading to the game-sealing interception.

Sherman called Crabtree “sorry” as Erin Andrews abruptly ended the interview.

“I’m the best corner in the game,” Sherman yelled. “When you try me with a sorry receiver like Crabtree, that’s the result you gonna get. Don’t you ever talk about me. […] Don’t you open your mouth about the best or I’m gonna shut it for you real quick.”

In the time after the interview, Andrews said she understands where Sherman was coming from and appreciated his candor .

“I wish more athletes would be like that,” Andrews said. “We want someone to lose their minds like that. … That’s why it went viral; that’s why people were going bananas over it. You don’t usually see athletes doing that. You see them very composed.”

Sherman also tried to explain his motives during the interview, but still stuck to his assessment of Crabtree.

“Erin Andrews interviewed me after the game and I yelled what was obvious: If you put a subpar player across from a great one, most of the time you’re going to get one result,” Sherman said. “A lot of what I said to Andrews was adrenaline talking , and some of that was Crabtree. I just don’t like him.”

Erin Andrews and Richard Sherman have already reconnected once after their ill-fated interview, meeting for a sit-down interview in Seattle last week. Andrews said they “hugged” and made fun of people who took their interview too seriously.
