Emma Stone is apparently receiving friendly gifts from a deceased relative.

According to People , Emma Stone is currently busy promoting her latest cinematic endeavor Magic in the Moonlight . This included a chat with David Letterman on the Late Show , an appearance that found the actress discussing her grandfather’s penchant for handing out quarters from beyond the grave.
Stone told Letterman:
“There’s a long family history with quarters. My grandfather leaves quarters. And it’s just amazing. It’s him! It’s absolutely him. It’s such a long story that you’d have to go to commercial five times and roll to a clip and then come back and I’d still be telling the story. But it’s him, you guys, it’s him! It’s not a logical thing. It’s magical.”
Instead of picking on Emma Stone for believing her ghostly grandfather is handing out quarters, The Huffington Post points out that Letterman discussed the supernatural encounters he’s experienced over the years. While some people might get a little freaked out about this kind of situation, Stone seems to adore it.

She explained:
“I love this so much. I mean, I really do. I think we should all open our minds and our hearts to magic.”
Emma Stone also told Letterman a bit about her Magic in the Moonlight co-star, Colin Firth. Although some people might think he’s a sweet, sensitive, and down-to-earth guy, Stone believes the acclaimed actor’s latest cinematic endeavor will give fans a chance to see the guy in a completely different light.
“I think he tricked us all in believing that he’s this charming, lovely fellow. But he’s really — you’ll see — I think he’s coming out of his shell. He’s a nightmare.”
When she isn’t dealing with otherworldly experiences with her relatives, Emma finds plenty of time to shoot a few motion pictures. In addition to Magic in the Moonlight and The Amazing Spider-Man 2 , Stone appears in the upcoming comedy Birdman . The film, which also features Edward Norton and Michael Keaton, hits theaters later this year.
