Eminem is familiar with the road Justin Bieber is going down.
The young star is partying, has been accused of drug use, and his behavior is reportedly spiraling out of control. It’s similar to what the Detroit rapper went through in his own life, battling demons that include an addiction to prescription medication.
But Eminem has since gone to rehab and gotten clean, and now he’s reaching out to Justin Bieber to help him do the same. He has reportedly invited Bieber to stay at him home in Michigan between Christmas and New Year so Justin can get clean.
“He’s really hoping he can sort Justin out,” an insider told British newspaper The Sun. “The way he’s going, he’s worried he’s going to end up in really bad trouble. He wants to talk him into going to therapy and counselling to deal with the stress of fame in a positive way. Everyone is saying how they think he’s a ticking timebomb.”
Justin Bieber has been through a difficult stretch, with allegations that he has visited a brothel, reports that an ambulance came to his mansion for a girl who passed out after a party, and video showing a drunken Bieber urinating into a mop bucket in a restaurant kitchen.
The holiday arrangement would seem a good fit for Bieber. Emimen’s daughter Hailey is a big Bieber fan, and even hung out the singer when he was in Detroit.
Eminem has also made his offer public , with the rapper’s manager telling Justin’s longtime manager Scooter Braun that Eminem is there whenever Justin needs him.
“If you ever want Eminem to talk to him, he would do it in a second. He cares about that kid,” Paul Rosenberg said.
Eminem isn’t the only one trying to help Justin Bieber. Mark Wahlberg, who was rumored to be working on a basketball movie with Bieber, also tried to steer him onto the right path. Other stars including Will Smith, Oprah Winfrey, and Adam Levine have also reached out to Bieber to offer their support.
Eminem has offered more than just a place to stay. He reportedly said he would work with Justin Bieber in the studio if the young pop star changes his ways.
