Harrison Ford got a little embarrassed when Good Morning America host Elizabeth Vargas admitted she had a crush on the actor.
The iconic actor clearly wasn’t ready for what Vargas was ready to discuss during his appearance on the morning chat show. Ford was on the program to promote his upcoming baseball drama 42: The True Story of an American Legend .
After stating that she had a confession to make, Elizabeth Vargas said that Harrison Ford was her first big-screen movie crush . The actor seems slightly embarrassed by the revelation. However, his discomfort became even more apparent as the host continued to speak.
Vargas explained:
“In the movie ‘Witness,’ in that scene where you were dancing with Kelly McGillis to that Sam Cooke song up in the barn. There was an article that came out a couple of years ago when people were asked to name their sexiest scene in a movie, and I thought that was my pick.”
After he thanked the host, Ford was asked if he was embarrassed by the confession. Harrison Ford admitted that he was a “little” uncomfortable with the exchange.
Elizabeth Vargas then shifted the attention from her crush to Star Wars . Although she attempted to extract some info out of the actor, he didn’t reveal anything we don’t already know about the project.
Harrison Ford explained that his return to the Star Wars franchise wasn’t exactly a done deal. According to the actor, he has yet to be officially approached about reprising his role as Han Solo in J.J. Abrams’ Episode VII .
“We’ll see. I don’t know if I’m going to be invited to the party. So we’ll so. I really enjoy J.J. Abrams. I admire him. I did his first movie, ‘Regarding Henry,’ about 20 years ago,” he explained.
While fans are waiting to hear if Ford will return to the galaxy far, far away, they can catch the actor in 42 . The film opens in theaters on Friday. The actor is also slated to appear in the upcoming sequel Anchorman 2 .
