Million Dollar Listing star Edith Flagg died at 94 on Wednesday. Fans of the Bravo show know her as Josh Flagg’s grandmother, and she was very successful in the fashion industry. Josh shared the news via his Instagram page.
Fans of Million Dollar Listing are quite familiar with Edith, as she appeared on the show frequently. Josh Flagg wrote , “At 6am this morning, Edith Flagg, my grandmother, passed away. She was my best friend.” He added, “I love you grandma, my darling wonderful woman. You are my hero. I will see you again one day… It may be a while… But I promise we will be together again.”
As TMZ notes, Edith Flagg died at 94 , and she lived a very full life before her passing. Edith was born in Romania but raised in Austria, and she hid in Holland during World War II before making her way to Israel to escape the Nazis. Her first husband was sent to Auschwitz and died in 1944 and she later married Eric Flagg, who died in 1999.
Flagg made her way to the United States and she made her mark in the fashion industry with her clothing line Edith Flagg Inc.. Apparently, she even introduced polyester to the U.S. after she found it in Switzerland. She also told the story of her life in Josh’s book, A Simple Girl: Stories My Grandmother Told Me .
Josh told TMZ that she “was a legend, not only in my eyes, but in the eyes of the countless people she helped and touched.” Edith Flagg was a spunky grandmother who was able to charm each and every viewer of Million Dollar Listing . It surely isn’t a stretch to say that some viewers probably looked more forward to seeing segments including Edith than they did some of the guys involved in the show. Her love for her grandson was radiant, and she was a spitfire.
The Dish via the Bravo site shared some additional insight into Edith Flagg’s passing . Josh mentioned that he was Edith’s only grandchild, and he was “the center of her life, but she was the center of my universe.” It seems Josh was with her when she passed, as he added, “I am so grateful I got to hold her hand and place my head on her chest and tell her I loved her.”
He continued, “She told me she adored me,” something that had always been clear to viewers of the show. She was certainly one beloved Bravo reality TV show personality, unlike some of the network’s other prominent stars who are known for their drama.
Season 7 of Million Dollar Listing premieres on Bravo on Wednesday, August 20, and both Josh Altman and Josh Flagg remain a part of the cast. According to E! Online , however, Madison Hildebrand will no longer be in the mix. Will Josh’s grandmother be a part of the new season, at least to some degree? Fans are hoping so, as they’d like the chance to celebrate her life a bit in the wake of the news that Edith Flagg died at 94 this week.
