Remember the Crash mode from the Burnout games of old? Well, EA is going to be turning the mode into a full-on digital title later this year – but with a ‘slight’ change.
In an.. interesting twist, Burnout Crash! will be a top-down racer of all things, but the emphasis on crashing into things and causing as much destruction as possible remains intact. The digital title will come with Autolog support, made famous by Need for Speed . Additionally, there will be an XBLA-exclusive Kinect mode for up to two teams on the same TV.
“Burnout Crash! is a crazy mix of pinball and game shows,” said Richard Franke, Creative Director for Burnout Crash! “We’ve evolved the core gameplay which everyone loved about Crash mode, and expanded the whole experience using music, style and Autolog to create what we feel is the most mindless fun you can have on any gaming platform.”
Burnout Crash! is due out on XBLA and PSN this fall.
