Over on Reddit, Dwayne Johnson — also known as “The Rock” — is doing a Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything), and the star opened up about sensitive topics like his career aspirations as well as the loss of Paul Walker late last year.

Reddit AMAs are a great way for stars and fans to connect directly, which is what happened on the thread titled “ IamA Actor Part Time Demi God Professional Badass – Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock – AMA!

Getting inevitable questions out of the way first, Johnson admitted what he’s “been cooking” all these years, replying:

“After all these years — CLEARLY I’ve been cooking pop tarts and fanny packs.;).”

A fitness-minded Redditor asked the muscular wrestler turned actor what his favorite “cheat” meal is, to which Johnson posted:

“Fav cheat meal food would be pizza (double dough), pancakes and peanut butter brownies. And for good measure I throw in a diet coke!”

The Rock confirms that his hardest role was Hercules , to which one Redditor quipped “[s]ounds like The Rock was in a hard place.” Reddit Gold was awarded for the joke.

Another user effusively praised Johnson for providing fitness inspiration and being someone to look up to during a rough time. The commenter asked about what music The Rock selects for workouts, to which he answered:

“Comments like this are always the best to read. Stay strong and know that every time we get our ass kicked, we get stronger and (hopefully wiser for it. Generally when I ‘clang and bang’ Im all about hip hop – Tech9, Jay Z, Tupac, Bun B (UGK), Eminem, Kendrick Lamar etc. Then every once in a while I put it on shuffle in hopes of the random ‘Eye of the Tiger’ to play. S***s on when that happens. #ClubberLangStyle”

It was basically a given that Walker would come up during the conversation, and one user asked what it was like finishing the Fast And The Furious franchise following the star’s sudden and tragic death.

Johnson replied at length, beginning:

“Finishing Fast and Furious without Paul was very bittersweet. His death was heartbreaking and in a way, informed us that we should be even more grateful for every waking minute and hug our loved ones and friends just that much tighter and stronger. I truly feel audiences will be very happy and emotionally moved by Fast 7.”

Johnson continued:

“I’m proud of the movie we made – proud of my fellow actors, director, studio partners and hard working blue collar film crew. The truth is, like all movies – Fast and Furious will come and go and hopefully, leave an incredible movie legacy behind.”

He concludes:

“To me, the #1 most important thing I care about is making sure his daughter has stability in her life and good solid men around her to help raise her in the wake of Paul’s passing. (MYB)”
