‘Duck Dynasty’ Miss Kay: Alan Was Born Before Miss Kay Was Married To Phil Robertson

Duck Dynasty star Miss Kay has come clean about something: Her son, Alan, was born out of wedlock. In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly , Miss Kay opened up about the early years she spent with her now husband, Phil Robertson. Apparently the couple had their first child (son, Alan) before they were legally married. Naturally this is a big deal to people who love to hate on the Robertson family because it goes against their Christian faith and all of the morals they’re always preaching about.

“Well, this is the first time I’ve shared this, aside from giving my testimony [in church]. When I made a vow to God and to [Phil], it was March 22, 1964. It wasn’t legal. That’s the truth. We didn’t do the legal papers until April 11, 1968, after Alan, my oldest, was born. But I want to tell you something… My heart and my vow to God was true from the first day.”

Duck Dynasty’s Miss Kay doesn’t regret having a child out of wedlock because she feels that her vow to God was sincere from the very beginning. A piece of paper wouldn’t have changed the way she felt about Phil or the way that God looked upon their relationship. Despite Alan joking that he’s the “bastard child” of the family, the Robertsons have made amends with the situation and don’t think that having a child out of wedlock is that big of a deal.

Miss Kay added:

“People ask, ‘When was your mama’s wedding?’ and the boys say, ‘Which, the pioneer wedding or the regular wedding?’”

Duck Dynasty’s Miss Kay didn’t actually surprise too many people with her latest confession. According to a poll conducted by Hollywood Life , over 80 percent of people weren’t the least bit shocked by the “news.” The site goes on to call Miss Kay “brave” for talking about the situation and for opening up about the truth of her younger years. Not surprisingly, her comments have been met with some harsh criticism, but that is nothing new for the Duck Dynasty family.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr , Phil Robertson was recently under fire for promoting underage sex. At a recent Q&A session, Phil told the males in the audience to go after young girls — and to marry them before they turn 20.

Phil said:

“You don’t wait for ’em to be 20 yrs old to marry ’em. That’s too old.”

What do you make of Miss Kay’s confession? Does it even matter?
