Duchess Of Cambridge: Kate Glorious At The Garden Party In A Chic Beaded Dress, And The $4,300 Outfit Is Still On Sale!

The Duchess of Cambridge has wowed us once again with a wonderful yet understated beaded outfit. The crop top and an organza maxi skirt were worn by the Duchess at a garden party in New Delhi this evening. If you want to dress like a princess, you can still buy Kate’s outfit (for now)!

Kate’s beautiful monochromatic outfit is by the British designer Temperley London , reports the Telegraph . The crop top and skirt are from the spring/summer 2016 and has “the season’s theme of global curiosities with opulent embroidery motifs of Indian Chintz and lattice.”

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were the guests of honor at a garden party to celebrate the 90th birthday of Queen Elizabeth. The party was held in the sumptuous grounds of the residence of the Queen’s representative in India, the High Commissioner.

The party guests met Kate with “gasps of admiration,” writes the Daily Mail . The band played a “medley of instantly-recognisable Bond tunes” as the Duke and Duchess mingled with the VIP guests. The menu was a mix of British and Indian canapes, served with “John Walker black label whiskey” and a chaser of “the strongest G&Ts known to man.”

The centerpiece of the party was an enormous birthday cake, which Kate, ably assisted by William, cut with a sword. While the Duchess mingled with guests, the Duke eagerly chatted to a fellow search and rescue helicopter pilot, Commandant TP Cherian.

“[Prince William] said he really missed those guys and was very pleased to speak to another pilot. He wanted to know about what kind of helicopters we flew and how many crew there are. I don’t think he wanted to stop talking about it.”

Throughout the royal tour of India, the Duchess of Cambridge has charmed the crowds, and the garden party was no exception. Deepa Thomas Sutcliffe said she was “star struck” by the royal couple, adding that she thought “the royal couple are gorgeous, down to earth and very modern. The older royals are very stiff upper lip but the Duke and Duchess are willing to talk to anybody. I think they are a big hit so far. India is very heavily influenced by the British and there is a huge respect for the British Royal family.”

Mrs. Sutcliffe mentioned to Kate that she was a huge fan of Diana, Princess of Wales, to which the Duchess replied, “Unfortunately I never had the pleasure of meeting her.”

Prof Bulbul Dhar-James asked the Duchess what the secret was to her famously-trim figure.

“We said ‘how do you lose all the weight after having two kids?’ And she said ‘I am running after my kids.’”

With her hair in an in an “elaborately curled half up-half down style,” the Duchess of Cambridge looked every inch the cool yet chic princess as she chatted with guests.

When asked if it hurt to smile so much, Kate sweetly replied, “I’m just reciprocating. Everyone is so warm.”

The Duchess of Cambridge watched as Prince William read a note given to him by his grandmother. Adorably referring to the Queen as “the boss,” William added that he was “incredibly lucky to have my grandmother in my life. As she turns 90, she is a remarkably energetic and dedicated guiding force for her family.”

“‘I am delighted that The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been able to join you this afternoon during their visit to your country. I have fond memories of our previous visits to India…it is with great pleasure that I entrust another generation of my family to strengthen and renew our bonds. Signed, Elizabeth R.’”

On Tuesday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will travel to Kaziranga National Park and spend time with young people. There are also two as yet unannounced engagements.
