Drake and Meek Mill may be moving on from their heated feud after the Philly rapper removed his diss track, “Wanna Know,” from SoundCloud, but does Drake have another heated track in the works for Meek Mill?
According to Billboard , Drake is only benefiting from dissing Nicki Minaj’s beau; the Canadian rapper has secured four singles on the Billboard Hot 100 charts since July, including his two Meek Mill diss tracks, “Charged Up” and “Back to Back.”
While Drake is profiting from dissing Meek Mill in his freestyle raps, a source close to the “Hotline Bling” rapper suggests that Drake won’t be releasing his previously planned third diss track on Meek Mill.
“After a point you realize that it’s not even worth it so at this moment that song is in the archive,” a source reveals to Urban Islandz .
The insider further explains that while Drake may not be dropping the song in the near future, it would certainly “end” Meek Mill’s career if it were to be released.
“I don’t know if it will ever be released but I don’t see him dropping that joint anytime soon and it’s very dope, I can confidently say that it would end Meek for good. There would be no coming back if this track had gotten out.”
The news of Drake’s decision to not release his third diss track comes just weeks after Meek Mill publicly ended his ongoing feud with the rapper in a since-deleted Instagram message, E! News reports.
“We really only focusing on making it out that’s the only war we fighting…” Meek began his post regarding his feud with Drake.
“I’m not entertaining no rap/real beef over drake s/o rapper! I can’t fall for the oldest trick in the book and I never shoulda entertained it bcuz it won’t bring me no money or success. Ima take blame for it even tho ‘I can stand’ anything I do or say and n****az know.”
Meek continues, “Everybody know everybody watching and anything beyond what’s going on is stupid to b reacting on a bunch of n***as just tryna get on and in the game. I been in these streets having money for a long time now ‘shining hard’ and need had a problem with I came up from nothing and my name good.”
Meek Mill concludes his rant by focusing on the hype surrounding his beef with Drake, telling fans that he doesn’t feel the need to entertain the feud any longer.
“I don’t feel like I gotta prove myself to the people and end up in a real situation over this fake rap s***! I’m just on some next level s*** wit it tryna touch some real paper…Leave all this murder one s*** in the streets if you tryna get rich and make it out! All this killer s*** on social media is like walking ya self into prison and that ain’t my lifestyle and don’t really make sense to me…I’m getting way too much money to even process the thought of throwing it away about n***as talking about each other like girls they just was claiming they was cool with and at the end of the day they all just tryna get on! All I can say is do ya thing but n***as better smarten up!”
