Just like every other candidate up for election on Tuesday, Donald Trump spoke on the Brussels attacks, but in the most Donald way that he could — by calling the location a “horrible city.”
Do you all remember how beautiful and safe a place Brussels was. Not anymore, it is from a different world! U.S. must be vigilant and smart!

On CBS News , Trump spoke out against European immigration policies that he sees as too lenient. Donald specifically targeted Brussels , saying that if you look at the freshly attacked city, you’ll see that it’s a “horrible city” or a “horror show.”
“If you would have known Brussels 20 years ago, you would have seen a place that was like one of the truly great places, one of the most magnificent cities in the world, with no crime. Today it’s an armed camp. You see soldiers walking all over the streets. And I’m not talking about today after the attack. I’m talking about before the attack. It’s an armed camp. They have areas in Brussels where the police can’t even go. The police are afraid to go there. The police don’t even go there. It’s a mess… all because you allowed people into the cities that shouldn’t be in there, frankly.”
Trump’s arsenal of post-terrorist attack words for Brussels didn’t stop there. In addition to calling it a horrible city, he also went on Fox News to call it a “disaster city.” Again, Donald attributed the decline of the city to lax immigration policies that he believes have let in members of ISIS.
“And look at Brussels. Brussels was a beautiful city. A beautiful place with zero crime. And now it’s a disaster city. It’s a total disaster. And we have to be very — we have to be very careful in the United States. We have to be very, very vigilant as to who we allow into this country.”
Not just Brussels was on Trump’s radar. The Republican front-runner also spoke about several other European cities that he feels have fallen. Paris, while perhaps not a “horrible city” in Donald’s view, was also on the list of places that have taken a turn for the worse because of a lack of national security.
“I would close up our borders to people until we figure out what is going on. Look at Brussels. Look at Paris. Look at so many cities that were great cities. Paris is almost, almost as bad. Paris is no longer the beautiful city of lights. Paris has got a lot of problems. All you have to do is speak to the people that live there. And you look at other places where the same thing has happened, and they’re in fear, they’re cities in fear. And we have to be smart in the United States.”
As with the Paris attacks, Brussels will surely become a central topic of each presidential campaign’s message for the next few days. Trump used the opportunity to tell voters in Arizona and Utah that he was the Republican field’s authority on terrorism.
I have proven to be far more correct about terrorism than anybody- and it’s not even close. Hopefully AZ and UT will be voting for me today!
