For numerous decades, Disney World has been known as the “happiest place on earth,” a moniker earned for being the destination for more family vacations than any other destination in the world. What keeps Disney World on top is their ability to relate and adapt to the times. Just recently, for example, they’ve opened up their first restaurant that is 100 percent vegan and gluten-free . The said restaurant is technically a bakery and a restaurant per se, but it is a progressive step in a direction to make Disney World even more family-friendly (through food choices).
However, such a step may suddenly take a leap back with the latest food item Disney approved to sell to guests. Reports now show that Disney’s Animal Kingdom will now be selling “poop” for their customer base to enjoy consuming.
The news of the new “poop” treats became known to the public through the official Twitter page of Mickey Updates . On Sunday, June 21, 2015, the following tweet was uploaded for all to see.

For those who are about to gag, thinking four giraffe droppings are being served, take note the items are only “poop” by name. According to Behind the Thrills , the “poop” delicacy is just one of four uniquely named desserts from the newly opened Zuri’s Sweet Shop located in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Technically, they are all delectable bakery goods as explained in the following list.
- Giraffe Poop – Rolled fudge brownie with fresh caramel (Shown in Tweet)
- Elephant Poop – Chocolate peanut butter fudge with sweet rolled oats and yellow coconut flakes on top for texture.
- Cotton-Top Tamarin Poop – Pretzel pearls coated in peanut butter fudge with rolled oat flakes.
- Hippo Poop – Chocolate fudge brownie with peanut butter and rolled oats.
Apparently, the “poop” desserts are an edible part of Wilderness Explorer, a park-wide interactive adventure with numerous games for the kids. For the desserts, they are part of the “Match the Species” game in which species are matched with the shape of their feces.
Also, it should be noted that Zuri’s Sweet Shop is “non-poop friendly” too. Besides their unique desserts, they also serve wine, dark chocolate Mickey treats with chili peppers and granola.
