Diplo Slams Taylor Swift, Lorde Slams Back: Is the Katy Perry-Taylor Swift Feud Heating Up?

Could the Taylor Swift/Katy Perry feud be spilling over to their friends? Gossip is buzzing after Katy’s reported love interest, Diplo, tweeted several nasty remarks Wednesday about Swift and her fans, starting with this slam about her booty — or lack thereof.

Of course, someone took up the challenge and created a Fundly page to raise money for the cause, with a message saying “Taylor Swift Still Needs Your Help! Any true supporter of T SWIFT would definitely not pass up this opportunity to improve her posterior! Any TRUE fan would show their support!”

Diplo donated $35 to and posted the link on his Twitter feed.

Swift’s friend, Lorde, jumped into the fray this morning, defending her friend Taylor by questioning Diplo’s manhood in response to the tweet.

Lorde’s tweet has so far been retweeted over 37,000 times and favorited over 46,000 times — far more than any of Diplo’s tweets about her friend — showing that maybe Taylor isn’t the right one to mess with.

According to ABC News, Lorde later told BBC Radio 1 that she was only joking and that she “loves” Diplo, whom she calls Wes. However, the tweets have led many to believe that the feud between Swift and Perry, reported in September by the Inquisitr , is heating up.

Rumors of the feud started when Swift revealed in a Rolling Stone interview that her song, “Bad Blood,” was written about another performer who pretended to be her friend and then tried to sabotage her behind her back.

“For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not,” she said. “She would come up to me at awards shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, ‘Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?’”

“She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me. And I’m surprisingly non-confrontational — you would not believe how much I hate conflict. So now I have to avoid her. It’s awkward, and I don’t like it.”

Shortly after the interview was published, Diplo’s girlfriend, Katy Perry, tweeted a thinly veiled “Mean Girls” reference and fans quickly put two and two together, figuring out that the “sabotage” was Perry’s attempt to hire Swift’s backup dancers.

Neither Swift nor Perry has responded to Diplo’s, remarks. However, the mean tweets have fans wondering if the feud is heating up and if the two singers’ friends are now getting involved.

In any case, the Fundly page has so far raised $85 dollars to finance Swift’s new booty.
